It is equipped with a Bowens style speed ring as well as a umbrella mount which allows a great versatility to the type of soft box, reflector, umbrella or any other light modifier. Best Uses: portraiture, high school photography, studio, fashion, product photography, and much more.
Took a chance and bought this since its relatively new. Holy cow this thing is amazing! This is my first monolight and it couldn't have been easier to use. I set it up with some Yongnuo 622 wireless triggers and this thing was rocking and rolling. I didn't realize you could go up to shutter speeds as fast as 1/1000s with just this inexpensive set up. I'm wondering now why people spend so much on other strobes?? Granted, I'm a noob - but this has more than enough power and is incredibly easy to use. My only complaint is I wish the modeling light was a little bit brighter. But that's it!
My first lamp came to me completely destroyed. It was not even in the factory box. It was if somebody throw somebody's used lamp and threw it in a box and kicked it around. It was almost laughable. I returned it. My next one worked well for about 3 shoots and then I started having firing issues. I bought a couple of pocket wizard remote controls to help resolve this issue and they wouldn't work at all with this product. I then went with a direct sync cable line and it worked for one shoot and then stopped working. I have a professional studio and this was an embarrassing. After trying to trouble shoot this product, I am now unable to return this product because it's been 3 months since I purchased this. I wasted almost 200 dollars. I would be wary or purchasing this.
Great stuff as usual like I've come to expect from Fovitec. This strobe has all the "pro-level" features at a fraction of the cost. The build quality appears to be very good. I've purchased a handful of continuos light kits from Fovitec and all of them have been aging very well. None have failed yet and this strobe feels like it's built even better/more durable. Fovitec's StudioPRO line really is quality gear. It's worth mentioning that this strobe's modeling lamp DOES have digitally-adjustable intensity settings. Didn't see that listed anywhere.
Love it!! Works like a charm and great with my full frame. I use it on lowest power and a 72 in plm system.
This is the 2nd strobe I ordered. Loved the first one so much wanted a second. Received this one and immediately began using it. Nothing appeared to be wrong with the box otherwise I would have paid closer attention to the product as I unpacked it. However, This morning preparing for a day of photo shoots I noticed what felt like a small spur on the handle. At closer look the handle had been super glued. This was packaged like it was brand new so I am just baffled. I also sent an email to the seller, but be sure to look close to the product when unpacking. The light is awesome though.
I have used this several times and I am very impressed over the last 6 months that I have had it. Would recommend it to anyone that is starting out in the photography business.
Excellent strobe. Color balance is spot on. I use it wireless with my Nikon D750. The only flaw is that the modeling light is not good enough. I replaced it with a 250 watt. The one that came with it is a 100 watt.
I purchased two of these with my fingers crossed. I was skeptical of the quality because of the price. I was pleasantly surprised of the performance. I have nothing bad to say thus far. I've been giving them a serious workout and they did not disappoint. If you're on a budget and you need something to get you by until the real money starts to roll in, I recommend this moonlight.
