A gas cylinder in at the center column provides smooth and easy floating action height adjustment. Extending from 25 inches to 54 inches, this is perfect for many applications.
These are very functional, if heavy, tripods. Work well with Majestic geared heads. The name Airlift is not quite honest as the lifting is done by a strong steel spring inside the column, not air pressure. Works great, but poses a real hazard to the user who releases the center column without holding it tightly, especially if his nose is directly above. The column is able to rotate, if needed. |
