This kit features a 504HD head and a 536 Carbon Fiber leg, the perfect system for lightness and rigidity. The 504HD offers a perfect balance between design and performance. The bridge design improves the head’s rigidity, and its PAN friction control is fast, simple to fine-tune and protected from knocks. All structural components are made from aluminum, with the PAN axis rotation unit using ball bearings to obtain smooth, totally vibration-free controlled movements that can be directly adjusted using the head’s FDS variable friction system. FDS on both the PAN and TILT axes also ensures that the head works perfectly at all temperatures, with all types of equipment and under all loads. The 504HD has been designed to offer a load capacity of up to 16.3 lb, making it suitable for a huge range of equipment. The CBS counterbalance system has four presets for camera weights 5.5 lb, 11 lb and 16.3 lb. Leveling the head is easy thanks to the 75 mm diameter half ball and the back-lit bubble level. Two 3/8” threads on the top plate allow accessories to be directly and securely attached to the head, cutting down on set-up time and keeps your camera hot shoe free. This 4-Section tripod is incredibly high and stable, has a great load capability and great max height with an ergonomic, easy-to-use and compact design. This lightweight tripod features a new leg angle selector, developed for adjusting the leg angle in a quick, easy and precise way. In addition, a screw-in 75/100mm. adaptor to hold the different industry standard half-ball heads. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS:Folded Length:34" (86.4cm); Load Capacity: 16.5 lbs (7.5kg)(6.2kg); Maximum Height: 85.3" (216.7cm); Minimum Height: 16.3" (41.4cm).
The tripod is great, but the head has a defect. When panning up and down there is a faint sound that sounds like dried out ball bearings. It’s loud enough for the video mic to pick up the sound. I will revise my rating when the replacement arrives.
I'm used to fairly expensive sticks, so when buying one for myself for side projects, I wasn't sure what to expect. I used a friends one time, and I hated it. The legs had these snaps, that you snap shut. They were SO LOUD! But this one works well. For the money, a good bang for your buck.
This is a high quality item and I am very happy with it so far. I am using it with an edelkrone slider and so far it has the sturdy foundation needed for a slider like this one.
Very stable and smooth tripod for the price, this one is my 4th one so that I can use one with each of my JVC GY-HM600 cameras
I'm amazed with withs manfrotto i usually use carbon fibers tripods for photography but this one for video is greattt... and the head ow sooo easy to use ans stable... Great product
