I ride everyday and I thought this was one of the better designs but it gets uncomfortable after 50mph. The main drawback is the way it attaches, it has to go under your visor and around your chin guard. Face it, if you have a chin guard chances are you don't like that wind vacuum in your eyes without it. Imagine taking it off and having little straps hit your mouth instead. Secondly its not enough of a visor gap to let debris in, but it is enough to whistle at speed. I wear earplugs and the whistle still got to me.

I just upgraded to the Scorpion R420 helmet from the R410. I had my GoPro mounted to the R410 chin bar, but given the shape of the R420 it just isn't possible with the standard GoPro mounting hardware. That is why I bought this mounting system.

The build quality is what you would expect for a product under $20. The biggest downsides to this mount for a street helmet is that you cannot close your visor all the way, and to securely mount the camera you need to either remove the chin guard(wind guard thing) which causes excess wind getting into the helmet, or cut through the thing which seems like a bad idea.

That being said, it does work. You may just want to make a habit out of checking how securely it is attached to the helmet before going on a ride. Ive had the plastic clips loosen up within the first week of using the mount. I ride rather quickly on a naked bike so the camera catches a LOT of wind and I haven't lost the camera yet.

I still only intend to use this mount as a temporary solution while I figure out how to get an adhesive mount to work with the oddly shaped helmet.

TLDR: I don't think I can rely on this for long term use on the streets. Probably will use for dirt in the future.

Awesomely versatile GoPro strap mount for the money. It works with standard GoPro and Insignia GoPro clips so that you don’t have to worry about the included J-hook breaking at all. I was able to use it on my SHOEI RF-1200 and as a gauge cluster mount on my ‘18 KTM Duke 390
