Okay, okay, I get that I'm leaving a review before I've really used them, but they seem very wobbly when extended fully. They're quite thin, which could be the reason why. HTC recommends the Vive lighthouses to be mounted about 6.6' or higher, which is a bit above what these tripods can get to in the first place, but shouldn't be a problem if they're stable. I'm also using the sync cable instead of syncing wirelessly because the bases are a bit too far apart for that (also recommended to use if they're mounted below ~6.6'). At the distance they're at they were working great on the shelves they were on before I got these stands.
Initially, my first order came with one damaged stand, but they did the right thing and fixed the situation, so thumbs up for great customer service!
These telescopic stands are the best product imaginable. They are lightweight and easily fold together to fit into a small bag. They have allowed me to take my Virtual Reality headset to friends' houses and still play with high-quality tracking. They are completely adjustable so you don't need to worry about the height of the room you are playing in. The tip on them is also on a ball joint, so you can adjust and orient your base station anyway you desire.
We received a new HTC Vive setup and before physically mounting the lighthouse sensors we wanted to be able to move them around and get a feel for where we wanted them. These did the tricks until we went for a more permanent solution.
I got it for Vive sensors. I was figuring it would be super cheapy feeling but was surprised they aren't that bad.
Bought these to mount VR sensors to so I didnt have to put holes in the walls. They extend beyond 6ft- smoothly, each section locks firmly, the legs are sturdy and durable. Setting up and taking it all back down is a quick process, as each section slides into the next without much resistance or fear that it could bend. I'd highly recommend these. They are every bit worth the price.
I got these for the base stations of my Valve Index VR system and they work perfectly! They are lightweight, easy to move around, yet VERY VERY hard to knock over. I've bumped into them a couple times expecting them to fall, but they are incredible sturdy-- the tripod base holds up really well. If you want to avoid mounting the Base Stations into your wall, getting these is a no-brainer, with great bang for your buck.
Not much more to it. They do what they need to. They are made out of aluminum so they are sturdy and strong. These are exactly what I was looking for and happy I purchased them.
