 We've come a long way since the appearance of the first 'affordable' 3-axis gimbal for mirrorless & DSLR cameras (Filmpower's Nebula 4000 Lite) five years ago, and Feiyu Tech's gimbals have always been at the forefront of this niche market of handheld stabilizers for my cameras (Panasonic GH5/S1 series & Canon 5D/EOS R) as a professional videographer/indie filmmaker.
Over the years, I've owned many gimbal brands from Zhiyun's Crane Plus, Crane 2, Filmpower's Nebula 4000 Lite, DJI Ronin SC, and Feiyu Tech's AK2000 and AK4000 (which I'm currently owning). After having lost my batteries for my AK4000 on a client shoot abroad (someone stole my backpack where the batteries were), I was in need of a short-term replacement gimbal for that shoot, and I had to settle on a DJI Ronin SC which did the job fine but I wasn't in awe with it and found that its many limitations & quirks hampered my skills. So I came back home on the lookout for a replacement gimbal to DJI's ronin SC, with similar specs but with more customizations & an LCD display... so I decided to buy the AK2000 S as I learned it just came out and I was already very familiar with the previous gimbal iterations from Feiyu Tech. Also I didn't want to splurge too much money into it given that this tech changes fast and my needs were for using it with lightweight mirrorless camera/lens setups (mainly my GH5 with the 12-35mm F2.8 lens, and my EOS R or S1 cameras with small lenses).
I have to say that the AK2000S is a near perfect gimbal for me and my camera setups. It's a great refinement of the popular AK2000/4000 series, and adds a very handy detachable arm (that can be used for underslung positions), a better quick release plate system, a nice rosewood handle, the inception mode with many control options, and a refined LCD display/menu for camera/lens combos that are less than 5lbs (max payload of 4.85lbs or 2.2Kg - which is perfectly adequate for my needs as I don't shoot big budget movies and often operate my cameras on my own so I don't want to have payloads heavier than 5lbs).
The AK2000S features all the functions we are familiar with 3-axis gimbal stabilizers and then some... You get the Pan Mode, Pan & Tilt Mode, All Follow mode, and locked mode, as well as the Inception mode (with 1x rotation and infinite rotation both clockwise & counterclock wise), timelapse shooting mode, and you get additional customizations for payload settings, shooting modes, etc. It also comes with many cables to connect to your camera for controling certain settings directly from the gimbal such as Shutter release (REC start-stop) /ISO/Exposure compensation/WB... as well as adding/controlling a follow focus (I bought the standard package which didn't come with it as I already owned the AKFII but haven't had the chance to test it out - I often use gimbals for events which don't require a follow focus).
You can further control & customize, firmware update the gimbal via the Feiyu ON app from your smartphone.
The AK2000S also now includes the 'lock' design for convenient balancing/storage/packing that you can find on the DJI gimbals as well. This is very handy as you take your gimbal on the go with you and it prevents your setup from going loose.
I love the detachable handle/arm that comes with it too as it offers me additional degrees of freedom when shooting and allows me to shoot for longer periods of time without feeling the weight of the setup.
Compared to the Ronin SC which also boasts similar specs/size (4.85lbs payload similar to the AK2000S), see my pics for a side-by-side comparison, the AK2000S offers much more value for the money, more customizations and is cheaper than its competitor. It's a much better though-out gimbal than the Ronin SC. The AK2000S offers an LCD display, a detachable arm/handle, a much easier/quicker to balance system than the Ronin SC (which is really a pain to balance as it dumbs it down too much), and a quick release plate (that the Ronin SC is sorely missing). I will try and post a video review soon as I spend more time with this gimbal.
In conclusion, if you're on the lookout for a very reasonably priced 3-axis gimbal for your mirrorless camera/lens setup (Panasonic GH/G series, Sony A7-A6000 series, Canon EOS R, Nikon Z6/Z7, Fuji XT, Olympus OMD series), you should seriously consider this gimbal.
The AK2000S is a great refinement of the AK2000/4000 series. This is probably the best & most customizable gimbal I've used to date, and I've used a few over the years from various brands. I love what Feiyu Tech offers as they seem to strive for improving their product offerings/capabilities while keeping them competitively priced without overcharging as DJI tends to do. If you are hesitating between the Ronin SC and the AK2000 S, don't hesitate, get the AK2000S, it's a much better gimbal overall no doubt - simpler to setup, quickly attach, shoot with, and offers so many more features.

 The AK2000s 3-Axis gimbal was an excellent buy. now that i have it i’m wondering how i ever got by without it. The attached video is a comparison between handheld and with the gimbal. it’s very easy to use, simple to balance it, stabilizes very well, and is a perfect fit for my Panasonic LUMIX FZ1000. i was worried about the eyepiece on it coming in contact with the roll motor, but there is about two millimeters of clearance. it’s close but it makes it seem like the camera is a good match for the gimbal. i like the fact it accepts fast charging and it really does only take an hour and a half from empty to full. battery life is pretty good, i don’t know what i was expecting but it seems fine. once or twice i’ve woken it up from sleep mode and it went crazy and started going all over the place, i have no idea why, but both times i restarted it, calibrated it, and it was fine. no idea why it did that, but whatever. the wood grips feel very expensive in the hand and the whole thing is almost completely metal. the tripod is very good quality. ok, now the HANDLE. the HANDLE. it is AMAZING. it makes underslung shots an absolute breeze and makes carrying it for longer than ten minutes very easy. i also have a collapsible monopod, and when it’s all the way retracted it’s about 15” long and when i attach it to the bottom of the gimbal it allows for some very creative shots. the self motor power calibration seems to always set the motors way to high and causes it to vibrate constantly so if you just play around with the manual control for a bit you’ll get it right eventually. the app is pretty simple, not much on there because most stuff is controlled by the touchscreen, which by the way is very responsive and easy to see (and is very easy to clean). it’s a bit heavier than other gimbals but that is because it’s made of basically solid aluminum but i’m fine with that. can’t go wrong with it, unless it does go wrong, in which case you’re doing something wrong. i love it!

以前やはりアマゾンで５万円ほどのジンバルを購入して使ってきましたが、壊れたので本機を購入。
今まで一眼を載せていたが、1.2ｋｇほどのビデオカメラを載せたくて、以前の機種は背面が干渉して載せられなかったので、背面がモーターで隠れなくて、リーズナブルなものを探していました。
ビデオカメラは縦長。モーターが背面にあると無理なので、本機の背面斜め下のモーターなら干渉せず載せられるのでは、と思いました。
結果は無理…。下の方でカメラのお尻が干渉するし、色々工夫してカメラを前へずらしてみたが、結局、重すぎるようだ。うまく作動しない。※（軽い家庭用ビデオカメラなら大丈夫だと思われます）
パナのGH４を載せると、快適に作動。わざわざ不安なアプリをインストールしなくても本体だけで基本動作は行えます。
まだ撮影した画を見ていないが（前ジンバルはイマイチで携帯の手振れ補正の方が良かった）、ボディはしっかりしていて、コスパは良好かと思います。
