The SCS-MPC PC Male to Hot Shoe Sync Cord from Impact is designed to let you trigger an on-camera flash made by Canon, Nikon, Panasonic, Fujifilm, Samsung or Olympus with a radio receiver. The hot shoe has a mechanism that allows you to securely lock down your flash while its 12" cable offers a comfortable working distance when setting up the flash. A 1/4"-20 female thread on the bottom cold shoe enables mounting on a flash bracket, light stand or other accessory with a matching male screw.
Compatibility: On-camera flashes from Canon, Nikon, Panasonic, Fujifilm, Samsung, and Olympus
Connectors: Hot shoe to PC male
Mounting: Mounting foot with 1/4"-20 female threaded socket
Cable: 12" (30 cm)
Weight: 1.0 oz (28.3 g)
I can now do wireless off-camera flash with virtually any vintage camera. My old Texas Leica now has taken some great portraits. My only, tiny complaint is that there's no clasp of any kind to hold it in the cold shoe on these cameras, but that's pretty minor. A piece of cardboard works fine.
I bought this to use my Canon 430EX flash with an old Mamiya C330 120 film camera. It works perfectly and I have had no issues with it whatsoever.
Works as advertised. Very handy with my old Mamiya RB67.
As far as I can tell, this is the only way to trigger a YONGNUO RF-603C-II-C3 Wireless Remote Flash Trigger Kit for Canon 1D 5D 7D 10D 20D 30D 40D 50D from a vintage lens with a PC sync port. I use it with large format lenses, Hasselblad 500 lenses and many vintage 35mm cameras. My only gripe is that the foot doesn't have a lock to tighten onto a hot/cold shoe.
