This thing is amazing. After years of being worried about my flashes on wobbly mounts, I can finally shoot comfortably.They're plastic, but they are built incredibly strong. The clamp on top is easy to turn, and feels nice and secure on the head of your flash. The Bowens mount is an added bonus that makes it very easy to use high-quality modifiers. Lastly, the positioning of the opening for the flash in relation to the umbrella slot ensures that your flash is firing directly in the center of your umbrella.

The only thing that I would change is I wish the knob that lets you adjust the angle of the mount was smooth and didn't function in notches or "steps". That being said, this is an amazing piece of hardware and I invested in two more after I received my first.

The swivel to tilt it does not move. You'll have to take it apart and adjust some things, but even then, I'm using all the strength to tilt it up or down and it's just a moment before it breaks. Also, the lever to adjust it is too long. If you use a larger soft box such as a soft octagon box or a soft hex box, the lever to tighten the angle will enter your soft box, so it is very inconvenient to tilt and make small adjustments once you have assembled your box soft. It is a terrible product. It is cheap plastic trash that gives Bowen mounts a bad name. There must be a metal version, or one that has some parts replaced with metal, so it is not heavy yet. My 7 foot pebble umbrella can not stand alone with this. Another soft box fell and broke the support.

These brackets are very sturdy, and hold the speedlight in a unique way that makes for a much more secure grip. Also, you can rotate the speedlight whatever way you want for easier access to controls, or if line-of-sight is critical. What I really love is how close to the umbrella shaft the speedlight is, which really helps to fill the umbrella with light, as opposed to only half of it!

Finally got this out of the box and used it on a softbox that came with its own bracket. This is without a doubt the best Bowens S mount bracket I have, and I have some brackets in my collection. Here is what I like:

1. Allows me to insert my flash into the modifier instead of trying to line it up with the opening. If you ever tried to line a speedlight on a trigger with the hole in a softbox you know what I mean. Connect a bare bulb to a stripbox with this bracket and it's magical!
2. Real S mount, attaching a big softbox to this is simple and the click lets you know it is locked in. No more having your softbox come off in your hand when you rotate it.
3. Everything that comes in contact with your speedlight is padded. Not a big deal with many of my speedlights since they have been around for a while. I have 4 newer SB-910's that I would like to keep looking nice for as long as I can.
4. The speedlight can be mounted with the head in the same direction as the modifier dimension, the head will go vertical in a stripbox instead of horizontal. Sounds minor but helps give even coverage in a rectangular modifier.
5. Handle for tilt has a release button to rotate it out of the way. I have brackets that cost twice what I paid for this one where the handle is stuck wherever it is tight, even if it prevents the softbox from rotating.

Here is what I don't like:
1. Its all plastic. I know for 20 bucks it will be plastic, at least it seems to be very strong and well finished without rough edges or flash. Everything on it fits and works, nothing on it looks like it will cut me.
2. The tilt adjustment is very coarse, I don't have a problem with adjusting it but I have mounted it on a light stand swivel when I didn't want to fuss with it. Use it with a shoot through umbrella and you will never notice, use a snoot with a tight grid and you will.

Overall I really like this, some thought went into the design and it shows in the results.

Absolutely amazing speedlite bracket. I bought two of these brackets to put my off-camera speedlights on stands with shoot-through umbrellas, and they work absolutely perfectly with zero headaches. In contrast to that, before getting these, I had shot several portrait sessions with el cheapo hot shoe brackets, and they were SUCH A PAIN to use. I should have spent the money for these right off the bat. Lesson learned. These brackets are heavy-duty, don't drift, are a piece of cake to adjust, and set up and tear down in a matter of seconds. Why anyone would give them less than 5 stars is beyond me.

Purchased several of these and highly recommend them. They mount directly onto a lightstand and tighten into place. The top has an additional knob to lock down the flash. Works great and forms a very solid connection. One big benefit is being able to have the flash securely mounted and pointed directly into your modifier (opposed to the standard speedlight mounts which offset the flash and form a loose connection)

The Bowens mount is great.. I've had no issues with anything up to large 60" octaboxes. The side handle allows you to tilt the flash; I've found that the tilt doesn't work great (it tends to be very finnicky) but once set it is a very secure hold.

Unfortunately, the umbrella mount isn't perfect. Several people have reported theirs breaking. The other issue is that the bowens mount reflectors do not line up with the Umbrella hole. This means that you can only use a Bowens Reflector or an Umbrella. I like to use a reflector to shoot into an umbrella, and that's just not physically possible here due to the placement.

This is a Godox S-Type style bracket that allows Bowens Mount accessories to be mounted on the front face. While people buy these to shoot hot-shoe flash, I frequently use mine for video lighting. As shown in my photos, you can get a Edison bulb to power plug adapter and mount your video light into the bracket, and then use either umbrella or softbox for light diffusion. I own about a dozen of these brackets - I can't say enough about them. They are inexpensive, small, and versatile.

This is the solution if you want to attach a radio trigger to your flashgun and at the same time easily mount a Bowens modifier.
Placing an expensive speedlight into the gaping maw of this device is unnerving and I am still very cautious when tightening the clamp, but my speedlights remain intact.
It seems fairly sturdily made yet lightweight.

Bracket ideal, very well made

First time, I got the Elinchrome and not Bowens mount. Replaced, and then got the one as shown in image.
Quality - This is plastic, but strong. Mine fell some 3 times already along with stand, and no even a single bump. All the mounting parts have a metal tube inside, which is great when you screw it tightly.
Metal - These are mostly Stainless steel screws. No rust/sharp edges.
Mount - This is Bowens. Means, most of the Godox softbox's can be mounted on this (If you want to pair with YN or Nikon/Canon flashes). This has space for the AD200 as well, but its edge to edge.
Rotation - This can go 90 forward, 90 back easily. The tightening handle can be pulled out and the screwed again (Spring action) it the softbox touches it.
Overall - Must have accessory for mounting lights/softbox.

El valor de este adaptador es, principalmente, cuando uno incursiona recién al mundo de los modificadores o accesorios Bowens, pero no tiene como fuente de iluminación una que incluya este tipo de soporte. El ejemplo más claro son los "speedlights" o flashes externos básicos, que tienen una forma rectangular. El adaptador tipo S, hace posible que aprovechemos el formato de origen de los flashes básicos, y podamos integrarlos en el ecosistema de accesorios (como cajas de luz), que se montan a las luces mediante adaptadores Bowens. Aunque suena sencillo, la idea del adaptador tipo S es una verdadera aportación. Su diseño permite, no sólo insertarlo en un tripié ajustar cualquier accesorio con montura Bowens. Además permite hacer ajustes de angulación de la luz y tiene una entrada para sombrilla (de ser necesario). Verdaderamente práctico.

Dos ocasiones previas adquirí adaptadores tipo S de la marca Neewer. No soy de fijarme tanto en la marca, sino en el desempeño y los acabados. Hasta ahora, los adaptadores anteriores me han funcionado bien y, mejor aún, tuvieron un precio accesible.

En fechas recientes, sin embargo, los precios notablemente bajos de Neewer (en comparación con las marcas regulares de accesorios para foto y video), han fluctuado mucho (a la alza) en relación con Godox. Esta última ocasión me salió casi al doble del precio (comparativamente con lo que costó la última vez que adquirí la versión de Neewer). Sin embargo, para mi sorpresa (y preferencia), con todo, resultó casi la tercera parte MÁS BARATA en una comparativa actual (no obstante, por lo que he visto, esto que los precios siguen variando a diario, así que hay que monitorear constantemente para ver que siga siendo así).

Mucho se dice que es uno el fabricante a granel de accesorios de foto y video en general y sólo cambia la etiqueta para distintas marcas pero, en esta ocasión he comprobado que, aunque pequeñas, existen diferencias. El adaptador tipo S de Godox muestra una mejor calidad del plástico y, el vaciado general resulta mejores acabados. Solo el tiempo permitirá hacer la comparativa de resistencia con el tiempo.

Una felicitación a los distribuidores de Godox quienes, en esta ocasión al menos, ofrecieron un precio más competitivo para ubicar sus productos mejor que otros genéricos.

Strong and sturdy. Fit very smoothly. Perfect match for Godox SB-UE120 Octa-Softbox 120cm .

Surprisingly heavy duty for the price. Can be used to mount even heavy softboxes on conventional light stands, without worrying about slipping lock handles etc. The clamp to mount the flash is a little heavy duty, and produces alarming creaking sounds from the casing of my 430EX flash heads- but does not damage them.

Recommend investing in these if you wish to use Bowens S type accessories with normal flash speedlites from any manufacturer. I would recommend using a cloth draped over the back once flash is mounted, as some light will bleed from the ring.

Había comprado este soporte anteriormente pero en otra marca, con este de la marca Godox he notado algunas similitudes principalmente en la resistencia, este soporte me da la seguridad de ser una pieza sólida y resistente, el de la otra marca es idéntico pero si más frágil que este. Estoy contento con este soporte que me funciona a la perfección

The product is made with some quality plastic, It works well and is lighter then metal/more expensive versions of this product from some bigger well known brands, tho it still has quite the heft to it compare to what you think it would have by just looking at it. Tho when using it on travel it's alot less bulky and lighter then those metal ones, so I will say its great to have it around.

Much more secure than cold-foot adapters. Just don't over tighten- it's secure without needing to crush your flash!

My only problem is that the angle adjustment is very tight. Even completely loosened, it does not move unless you yank it. It makes a loud noise when doing so, and sounds like it is breaking. Besides being inconvenient, I am concerned it will not hold up in the long-term. I will have to wait and see.

El producto llegó bien embalado y a tiempo. El soporte dentro de la caja además viene bien resguardado e incluyeron un paño.

El producto es de plástico pero resistente, nada delgado y que parezca romperse fácil, lo que a primera vista lo hace ver duradero, incluía todos sus tornillos y manijas, en donde se coloca el flash tiene gomas para no resbale o se maltrate.

Por otro lado, el producto por ningún lado dice que sea Godox, PERO fui y revisé en la página oficial de Godox los soportes tipo S y tampoco logré ver ningún logo o nombre de la marca en ellos (los de la página oficial), por lo que he decidido darle el beneficio de la duda.

Sin lugar a dudas vale el precio. Volveré a pedir otro pronto.

I'm very happy with this product and Amazon service. it is timely delivered me and packing was decent. now talking about product. this is very nice and sturdy product for beginners. please don't go for cheap 700 or 800 product. invest on this and other godox products. trust me guys, You'll thank me in future.

This is the ideal srobelight t0 Bowens mount solution. I wish I had bought these ages ago. All my other shoe-mounts are now relegated to the back of the cupboard. I was a bit concerned that my large Rogue Flashbenders would not fit anymore and I would have to use two systems, but yesterday I mounted the XL system with diffuser using my S-bracket with no problems.
I particularly like the fact that my hotshoe mounts are no longer subject to strain and potential failure, and the flashes are better protected against my clumsiness and an inadvertantly bumped light stand crashing to the ground.
These are a must-have for any strobist.

The bracket is made of hard plastic and seems robust. If you are using Magmods products, you will have to put the flash unit in the S-type bracket and (only after) put on the maggrip. Not really a major problem for me anyway since the final result is a sturdy mount of the light and numerous of other modifiers can be used too. Overall, good product, good shipping time and package.

This is not working for godox SB-UE 80cm..... But was not sure if the issue was with Softbox or with bracket so
had to return both.

They made this one so good, build quality is sturdy and you can feel the time they spent for this product. Very very worth your time and money. Would definitely recommend this to my friends or family and probably would buy it again.
