After owning my Osmo Pocket for about 5 months now, I really found the need to find a set of ND filters to allow me to better shoot with the device outdoors. While the camera itself on "auto" can handle the exposure fine, due to the fixed aperture of f/2 on the Osmo Pocket - there isn't much that the camera can do besides adjust the shutter speed and ISO to control the shutter. In very bright lighting conditions - this can lead to "fake" looking footage. In order to retain some of that cinematic feel, you really need to cut the light down hitting the sensor in order to slow down the shutter speed. The only way to do that is with a set of ND filters like this. It's a bonus that there is a UV and CPL filter included! I was mainly looking for the ND4-32 filters for my own use. After doing some initial tests, I'm very optimistic that this will allow me to get even better footage with my Osmo Pocket! I can't wait for the weather to improve (and the trees to get some leaves!) in order to more thoroughly record some more videos! All in all, this set suits my needs. Pros ------------ Includes 6 filters CPL and UV are nice inclusions ND4-32 should provide adequate options for most shooting conditions Improvements ----------- It'd be nice to include a ND64 in the set Ideally I'd be able to "stack" these filters to create more ND when needed, however I don't know if that would cause image problems! So maybe it's an unreasonable expectation! :) I've included a quick video with this review in hopes that it helps you with your decision!
