My camcorder fail to charge the battery. I heard this is common. I was debating whether I should have it fix. It is nice to know this is around. I can charge my batteries without connecting the power cord to the camcorder.

I have to admit I was a little leery of buying something that was so much cheaper than what the same product would cost by getting it directly from the manufacturer.

As it turns out, my apprehension was completely unjustified. I bought this battery because it came with a charger and the battery that came with my Canon Vixia HF M31 wasn't charging when the camera was plugged in. My first thought was there was something wrong with the charging port on the camera itself, so I went looking for a charger. I came across this battery and charger and it was a fraction of the cost for just a battery from Canon. I figured for the price it was worth taking a chance.

The battery lasts quite a bit longer than the much smaller battery I got with the camera and the charger is faster than leaving the battery connected to the camera and plugging it in.

Overall, I am extremely happy with this purchase and I will more than likely buy another to have an additional extended life battery.

Highly recommend this product.

Also it arrived in 2 days even though it was scheduled for a 4 day delivery.
