Tap in to D-tap power safely with the Cinegears Compact Power Distributor. This distributor splits one D-tap outlet into 4 D-tap, 2 USB and one AUX outlets, while stabilizing the current and providing in-built surge protection for your gear; keep your gear powered and protected. An LED display shows current voltage output for the extra peace of mind. The distributor can be mounted with an additional bracket or with the included Velcro strap. A key piece of common feedback from the film community regarding working with D-tap power sources is that using an aged or overworked D-tap power source runs the risk of harmful power surges. Don't run this risk: use the Cinegears compact power distributor.

This has been the perfect solution for my SmallHD 1303 monitor, which runs on a D-tap to 4pin XLR power supply. I simply plug the distributor's Dtap to the onboard battery and then run ALL my accessories from the quad splitter. This way, with the voltage read out, I ALWAYS know how much time I have left before a battery swap.

The voltage readout has saved my butt on numerous occasions, where potentially my monitor battery could have died mid-take. I know it's a good idea to swing a battery now, or if it can wait.

The other win is the hot-swap ability. The DC Barrel In/Out, if you have a Dtap to barrel cable, you can hook up to your next battery, pull the one you're working with and still have your monitor and accessories continuously receiving power. This is super helpful in environments where turning off your Teradek could mean precious minutes of waiting for it to link up again.

LOVE LOVE LOVE it, and it's impressed many other camera people I know who also knew they just had to have it.
