This case ended up not being what I thought it would be. It's not a true hard case, which is what I was looking for to protect my camera from any potential drops/falls while hiking. I ended up using a different case that I already had from a previous camera that worked well. This case is a little "squishy", kind of like foam, which I guess could provide protection but it is not a hard case as described in the name of the product. I was going to return this for a refund, but after paying return shipping I would not get more then a few dollars back, so it is not worth the return for me.

This hard case is awesome! I am a Marine and deployed in Afghanistan. This is the best thing I can think of to use for multiple environments. I take pictures as often as possible so my camera is in and out of the case all the time. It has been dropped, walked on, buried in sand and still out performs any other case I have had. Thanks to this case my Nikon camera is still in pristine condition. Bought this to carry my Nikon Coolpix P7000. Advert on Amazon states that this case fits that model of Nikon camera. Well, it doesn't. If I had looked further down on the Amazon page I would have seen the actual dimensions of the case and could have checked these against the physical dimentions of my camea. The case is very well made and I have discovered an alternate use for it, so it's a keeper but I have to give a low rating because we consumers really shoule be able to trust the advertising info on Amazon. And, I'm still looking for a case for my camera.

I ordered one of these for a Nikon CoolPix(L22).

It fits the camera perfectly and makes it a breeze to take your camera with you.

You can use the strap and hang it on your shoulder or wrap it around your hand(which I know some people tend to do if they hate wearing anything on their neck or shoulder. It also comes with a metal clip as well).

This is very lightweight case and it is meant to protect the camera, but NOT under extreme conditions.

If you want a case that keeps your camera covered, is light enough to carry around locally and on trips abroad, then this is ideal.

It even has a netted pouch to hold some memory cards inside.

Because it is NOT a hard case shell-nor padded inside- I don't want to speculate how much protection is afforded if the camera were dropped on a hard surface.

However, for the purposes of keeping your camera clean,covered and easy to bring along with you- this does the job.

Women can even put it in their handbag until they get to their shooting destination.

For this price, how can you say no?

The strap broke off after a couple of months but that was probably because of my uncontrollable swinging at 120+ RPM. If you're actually a smart Human being this would last a long time. Well, at least I can punctuate correctly unlike most people on this website.

Just received this case and it is top-notch in quality.

It weighs 1.9 oz [ .03 kg ] and 6.6 oz [ .19 kg ] with my small digital fujifilm "point n shoot" camera inside the case. Great for backpacking long distances when you want to keep your pack load light.

It is sturdy and has a smooth zipper that is easy to operate. It has a nice carabiner to hold it to your belt or you can use an expandable strap that can be attached or stored.

Make sure you look at the dimensions in the detail description before you order it and then measure your own camera to make sure it is the right fit. It will only work on very small cameras.

I was actually impressed with this little thing. It has a few lanyard cords on it and comes with a small carabiner to clip on things. I like the quality of the straps on it since its for my daughter. She can wear it around her neck or clip it on something so she won't lose it. The shell of it has some rigidness which I also like to protect the camera from dropping, unlike the soft ones you can buy. It is small though, so it works with the little digital camera we got - like a Cybershot. It will not work for larger cameras. The size does not allow for storage of many accessories. We can fit the cord in with the camera but there are no pockets or anything for extra batteries or memory card. Simple and usable for camera only.

This is a great case for my little Nikon. It is well protected and the camera fits perfectly inside. I have traveled with it and can easily carry it in my purse. I don't worry about the camera getting damaged.
