My voice and music keep cutting out on me. Not impressed, I am giving it a bit more time before returning to see if it could be another cause. But it seems to just happen with these and no other speaker.

Bose has long been a leader in active noise cancellation technology, and my QuietComfort 15 headset totally transformed air travel for me, with trips being far less fatiguing. However, as much as I am tempted to purchase the model 700, the terrible reliability issues with the QuietComfort 15 and 25 models force me to wait and see what accumulated user experience looks like. One infamous point of failure for the 15/25 was a single small wire connecting the negative end of the battery to the electronics, which failed regularly and was a pain to repair, if the owner was up to a DIY repair at all. In others, audio on one side of the headset would go dead. If Bose has not learned that a product at this price point is expected to be *far* more robust than the 15/25, no amount of superb audio research will compensate. Granted, durable connections through mechanical parts that expand and rotate is a challenge. I sincerely hope Bose learns to be as good at this as they are at active noise cancellation.

Everyone compares these headphones to the Sony WH-1000XM4 (which I also have). While many consider that Sony has the best ANC, there are other factors that one should take into account. Based on my personal experience, here is my honest assessment when I compare them to the Sony:
. BT connections are rock-solid - Sony has stuttering problems with my Samsung QLED TV and the "fix" must be repeated every 15 minutes (true annoyance shared by others!) . App is much more intuitive any Sony's . Firmware updates via USB are fast compared to wireless transfers . More premium feel than the Sony . Sony WH-1000XM4 are slightly lighter and therefore a bit more comfortable
They are both amazing products and I don't think you can go wrong with either.

Its a good headset with nice audio quality. The overall build is good, Starts quick and pairs automatically to the dongle .. Bluetooth coverage is good, i have been able to walk over to the next room during calls without any disconnections or audio issues. Noise cancellation is better than the other headsets i have and there is a noticeable difference. Charges quick using a type C , have used them all day without any fatigue or ear pain.
On the flip side, No wireless charging or box charging in this UC model. which is not something i was aware of and a bit of a letdown. There is a slight discomfort when using eye glasses as the headphone presses down on the temples. Also there is no Bose software to be installed on the laptop so the teams functionality is basic if compared with other brands such as Jabra or Plantronics which i have been using for a decade. So if you are also required to use WebEx, you will have to manually use the mute/unmute option on Webex due to the lack of a hard button on the headset. All software options are on the phone app.. Not so great if you want to make this for Office users :(

I was concerned about consistent bluetooth connectivity issues on Ubuntu, as was the case with the quiet comfort headphones. Trying to pair using bluetooth on the quiet comfort was frustrating. Fortunately the bluetooth USB makes this problem go away. The bose 700 NCs connected straight away on Ubuntu via the USB - no software tweaks needed. Would note though that in order to have both the "left" and "right" speaker output working (via the sound settings on Ubuntu) correctly on the 700 NC on Ubuntu, I had to set the internal input device to the internal laptop device. If I don't, then the sound comes out of both the NC headphones without spacial depth, with the right speaker not providing distinct output (for this reason 4/5 starts for connectivity on linux).

Sound is amazing, comfort was very important to me as I wear glasses and this feels like I don't wear them to tell you how much these are comfy plus on top of that is the fact that my cell phone and computer are all connected so I can switch from Spotify to Teams to answering my cellphone within a tap....I love this! Top comfort! I was using the Blueparrot noise cancelling headset before and the Bose 700 noise cancelling mic is a 100 times better. Overall they are costly but worth the dime! I love these headsets!

Upon using this product couple days found out it to be defective, returned it back to the seller (Deal Targets) for a refund and they had the audacity to deduct more than $100 towards restocking fee and refunded the remaining amount. Restocking fee for a DEFECTIVE PRODUCT, though their email states there would not be any deductions if the product is defective. Tried contacting Amazon Customer Service multiple times and no one seems to understand my issue. Lesson learnt the hard way.
