Set this up yesterday. I used the Amazon 4K Fire TV device. I am stunned at just how beautiful this screen is. Watched Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 and it was superb! I honestly don't know how you can expect a better picture even on a higher priced device. I bought this while it was on sale for $249 and it was absolutely money well spent. Took only about 15 minutes to set up. I would actually give this great budget tv 5 stars, but have to drop 1 star because the speakers are just terrible. However I was already planning on getting a soundbar since no current tv's of any price have really good sound. I got way more than my money's worth out of this purchase. I highly recommend it! UPDATE! I just hooked this up as a monitor for my new computer. Now I can switch back and forth between using this a a 1080p HD monitor and using Amazon 4K Fire TV as a full 4K UHD television by simply switching between HDMI ports with the source button on my remote. Very easy setting this combo up! LOVING THIS TV!!!

First off, I am switching over to this from an 11 year old 720p TV that I used as a PC monitor. This one will have the same setup. I'm not much of a gamer so I can not comment on the refresh rate or if it would be adequate for most current games. But I'm using it with a Vega video card and colors seem to be quite accurate. I'm especially impressed with the depth of the darker tones. (For about as long as I can remember I haven't had solid black on the old monitor -- just various shades of dark grey.) No dead pixels the Sceptre that I can tell. I'm running it at 2560 x 1440 at the moment and it's more than enough desktop real estate for my needs, although it is quite capable of the full 4k. Maybe there's better TV's out there at this price point, with questionably better technical specs. But this one is definitely worth the money. The legs on this are kinda squirrelly when you put them on. Mine came without the screws, but fortunately I had some from old PC builds sitting around. Just keep an eye on the Left-Right and Front-Back markings on them and all's good.

I have owned this TV for a couple of months now and I feel I know enough about it to write a review. I use this mostly as a monitor for my Mac Book Pro. Occasionally I use it to watch broadcast TV for a football game. Pros: 1. The picture quality is really good. To my eyes (I'm not a professional) the picture is exceedingly clear and bright. 2. Light weight. 3. Very thin. I doesn't stick out very far from the wall. 4. I paid less than $250. That's a great value.
Cons: 1. The built-in speakers are horrible. They aren't just a little bad, they are really, really bad. I bought a digital to analog convertor (PROZOR Digital to Analog Converter DAC Digital SPDIF Toslink to Analog Stereo Audio L/R Converter Adapter with Optical Cable for PS3 Xbox HD DVD PS4 H) and a mini headphone amp (BEHRINGER MICROAMP HA400) and I listen through headphones. I will eventually buy a sound bar. If you are going to want to listen to the audio from this TV plan on using something else other than the internal speakers. 2. The audio outputs are Analog: RCA L&R and Digital: Optical. There is no RCA Digital Out. Your choices for digital output are PCM and 5.1. Keep this in mind when you are shopping for the necessary external audio system 3. The tuner is very frustrating. The only way you can add Channels to the channel list is by executing the auto search function. So if your antenna has to be adjusted for different channels (like mine) you are in for a world of frustration. You cannot manually add channels. Every time you run the auto search all of your existing channels including your favorites list get cleared. Worse yet, if you select a channel on your list and the tuner doesn't get a strong signal, it deletes that channel from the list. The bottom line is this: If you're going to use this as a computer monitor it's a great buy. If you are buying it as a TV and you are planning on using an antenna, you may want to think twice.

Having never owned a 4k tv, only other 1080p tv's, I did not do a side by side comparison. However, for the price, I could not be happier. The quality and brightness are superb. I watch movies and play ps4 on this TV and the picture is very impressive. Does it hang with a much more expensive Sony or LG? Maybe, maybe not, but I know the returns are diminishing. I would highly recommend this tv at this great price.

I bought 2 of these 4K TV's and both of them do not display the color yellow (it's either orange or green) I tried 2 different sources (cable and Blu-ray) because sometimes it's the connection. I contacted Sceptre and the tech person (who gave me an attitude) told me that it's not a common issue. Hmmmmm...... I bought 2 of these (at 2 separate times) and both of them have the same issue. Coincidence? NOT!!!! I don't believe in coincidences. I'm going to see if Sceptre steps up to the plate and fixes this issue. If they do, I will give this TV a 5 star rating, because other than this issue, it has a great picture. But, I feel this is a major issue that needs to be addressed by Sceptre. I do have 2 other Sceptre TV's (different than the 4K) and they both are great. So, I'm hoping Sceptre does the right thing! I will update soon.

The one real thing this does is it can play 4k. Big problem is every once in a while it'll only load grey vertical bars on the screen. never happened twice in a row but it can be annoying, and in certain lights i can still see the bars( like an all white screen). didnt notice at first but if you look its there. Pic may require color balancing. Also built in sound is awfully tinny, but plenty of HDMI ports, so if its a makeshift 4k monitor(with headphones) It'll be fine.

My son's high end Samsung bit the dust prematurely and this "no name" brand is, hands down, AMAZING!!
