I don't know much about TVs, so this will just be a layman's first impression with some detail specifications.
It took about 10 minutes to unpack and setup.
- To avoid squeezing the screen by lifting the TV out of the box, I tilted the opened box onto the couch and slid it out screen-side up.
- The box contained two feet, foot screws, cable-routing clips, remote control, batteries, power cable, and owner's manual.
- The feet snap onto the bottom and are secured with two screws on each foot.
- The cable clips attach to the feet.
- The power cord is flush with the back of the TV when it is plugged in and drops straight down. Specifications are below.
- The home screen of the TV displays apps(Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, etc.), input sources (HDMI, Bluetooth, USB, Wi-Fi), and web browser.
- The setup process for the apps (user names and passwords) is done with the remote and was painless.
- The remote has dedicated buttons for Netflix, Hulu, and Prime - convenient for me since I have accounts for all three.
- The TV will default to the last active source when it is turned on.
- The audio level is sufficient, but I plan to add a sound bar.
- The picture and colors (especially black) are incredible compared to my previous TV, a 10 year old LG.
- The TV is very light, I was able to mount it on the wall by myself. I only needed to use two mounting bolts in a single stud since it's only 30 lbs.
- The cable inputs are easily accessible from the side of the TV
I love this TV, I only regret not getting the 55" instead!

I want to let you all know two things. First, some people said they didn’t get screws for the feet the tv stands on. I did. Second, Amazon says batteries don’t come with the remote, but they indeed do.
Setup was very simple. The tv will determine what you have plugged in to the HDMI port. In my case it was my DirecTv receiver and it programmed my remote for me. I can use either the remote for the tv or the DirecTV remote to control the receiver.
Picture quality is something you have to see for yourself. This may be considered lower end for 4K, but who really cares if it’s doing exactly what you needed it to?
If for any reason you are worried about this being shipped, don’t be. The box came in excellent condition and nothing was broken inside. I got the 50” so you may want someone to help you bring it inside and set it up.
Set up the TV on a Saturday, easy enough. By Tuesday I had to factory reset because the home menu had stopped responding. Okay, early days, growing pains, fine. By Thursday the TV could no longer connect to wifi, now I'm stuck hardwiring.
One would imagine that menu functionality and ability to connect to wifi rank pretty highly on priority features for a Samsung. Sad to say this TV has been more trouble than it's worth.
Let me start by saying that I really want to like this tv. All my current TV's are Samsung and I used to buy them since the very 1st flat tv model. I guess this was the last one. There are at least 2 serious issues with Samsung UNXXRU7100FXZA (screen sixe doesn't matter) that I am aware of: 1) despite been able to work on both WiFi frequencies 2.4 and 5GHZ this TV won't connect to 5 GHZ. While for me this wasn't a deal breaker but clearly disappointment...my 4 years old Samsung tv easily get connected to 5 GHZ.
The 2nd issue is a major one: after 2 weeks this tv started to disconnect from the WiFi. All other gadgets connected to the same WiFi are fine...but not this Samsung tv. The workaround is quick- disconnect tv from the power )turning tv OFF on the remote won't help!). However this happens now daily, annoying to say the list.
I checked Samsung's software but it shows that the one I have it is the latest one.
Checking on the web I found tons of exactly the same concerns...means Samsung is well aware of the problem but chose to ignore. That's how much they care...(don't!)
So if you are using this tv primarily to watch cable/satelite/antenna tv- it won't be a problem. However if you expect to stream or use internet tv- you will get a problem with this Samsung TV.
Straight out of the box it did not work. I am guessing it's a power supply issue, as the red indicator light isn't on. I tried all the simple, obvious fixes, like making sure it is plugged in to a working outlet, to ensure the problem isn't user error, and still nothing. I will be contacting customer service to see if I can get it serviced or if I have to send it back. Either way, I am incredibly disappointed.
Just received this TV today for use in the bedroom after our older Vizio 55 inch suddenly stopped working. I have to say I am impressed.
Setup was a breeze, it connected to my Note 9 right off the bat and helped get everything setup, including my wifi without having to re-enter the password. That was very nice.
The picture quality is great for the price range, no complaint at all, viewing angle works well in the room it is in and 4k looks great, it is not going to look as amazing as the P Series we have in the living room, that was a far more expensive television that has full array, but it is damn good. Great value, great TV.
The remote is a little awkward for we with some of the smaller buttons, but I work consteuction and my hands dont deal well with smaller buttons, so that might just be an issue with me. If anything changes I will update my review.
**UPDATE** TV only allows 1 phone to connect at a time. My wife connected hers which booted mine off and now it won't reconnect.
J'ai acheté ce téléviseur et très vite j'ai eu ces taches sur l'écran. Un écran surement défectueux de base. J'attend de voir ce que le vendeur peut faire. A plus de 600 dollars faut faire attention...
Showed up in time, no damage, very nice product. But I am biased, wouldn't buy anything but Samsung
