I ordered the above listed product. It arrived on time, and I used the wall AC adapter to charge it and make sure it worked. The DVD played, I watched for about 30 seconds, and then I put it away. A month later we went on a road trip and tried to use the DVD player for our daughter. It started, but a couple minutes into the movie it turned off. We assumed that it was an issue with the car adapter, so we pulled out another adapter. The same thing happened a couple minutes in. My wife messed with it until we arrived at our destination, but we were never able to get it to play for more than a couple minutes. We wrote this off to being a problem with the charge, so when we went on our next trip this past weekend we fully charged the battery before leaving. We tried multiple variations of different DVDs, different adapters, holding it in different positions: no luck. It spontaneously turned off every 5-10 minutes. Rather than being the wonderful distraction for our children that would allow us to actually talk to each other as adults, this DVD player has been a constant source of frustration.
We've experimented with every variable and determined that the problem is indeed with the DVD player itself. Unfortunately, since this isn't exactly a product that we would use every day, we didn't discover the defect until after the 30-day return period. I've appealed to the seller to exchange the product for us; I'll return and report if/when I ever get a response from them.
EDIT: 18 months later, I haven't heard anything from the company. I wrote it off a long time ago. Very disappointing.
