Kindly Note

Mac os can't use the AP mode.
You must have a dual band WiFi router with 5.8G band if you want to have a 5.8G signal.
This WiFi adapter will not boost the speed of original router, it just transmit the wifi signal.

Please plug the WiFi adapter into the usb ports behind the computer host when you use desktop computer. This way will let the Wi-Fi dongle get enough power.

PROS: Very compact USB to Wi-Fi adapter Good performance and range CONS: Requires a CD drive to install the plug-in THE PRODUCT EMITS A VERY STRONG SMELL As soon as I opened the box from Amazon, I could smell a problem. The plastic package that the device came in seemed to be coated in an oily substance. The substance got on my hands and gave them the smell. I tried to wipe down the device with a cloth to get rid of the oil coating before installing it. Once I got it installed and the device warmed up, the smell got even stronger. It's now been over a week and the smell is so strong that my eyes and nose burn when I sit near the computer. I've tried using windex to clean the outside of the antenna to get rid of the oil but it still smells. I'm going to have to return.

If you've got a Mac, there is no location to get the latest driver. The vendor doesn't publish a web address in the packaging, on the CD, or even in this ad. My Macbook with OS 10.15 does not automatically recognize this. If you don't have a CD reader, you can't use this. If you do have a CD reader, you can install the driver, but you'll have no way to get patches or upgrades for it. I would buy a device from a vendor with better support, not this one.

Have a laptop that just couldn't connect to wifi more than 30 ft away. Tried everything then internet provider suggested a wireless adapter and we now have a laptop that works where it needs to be. Was easy enough to get going. Had to sort out how to do it after I loaded the software but I got it to work and it's doing fine. (I'm a senior so a younger person would most likely know exactly what to do right away) Very pleased. The price was great compared to the more expensive type HP was selling.

This USB 3.0 wifi adapter works better than my USB 2.0. I have a 450MBPS connection with Comcast and this adapter clocked over 200MBPS on a speed test. My old USB 2.0 wifi adapter with similar specs max out around 150MBPS. I also bought a dual antenna USB 3.0 adapter for comparison and it was significantly faster (400MBPS) than the USB 3.0 single antenna, so I'd recommend a dual antenna model. Either way, if you have a USB 3.0 port, I recommend upgrading to USB 3.0.

The Supola WiFi Adapter is on par with the Netgear it replaced in terms of performance. So that is to the good. I had hoped the antenna would improve performance but it hasn't. Unfortunately, this adapter is large and cumbersome. The Netgear mini-adapter is twice the cost but less than half the size. If I had it to do over again, I'd buy the Netgear mini.

I recently purchased a new computer, but I wanted my older unit to be usable - so I needed to purchase a Wi-Fi connector. And after shopping dozens of options, I happened to find this USB Wireless Adapter unit on Amazon Prime at a very nice price - and it works great. And importantly, it was super easy to install. I highly recommended this product!

This is the second one I’ve purchased and both did the same thing. I installed exactly like it said and now it just stopped working. It says it can’t connect even though it shows the WiFi I want to connect to has 100% signal strength. Someone please help.

My computer only recognized my 2G bandwidth not my 5G. I ordered this product, installed it and WOW my internet download speed went from 48mbps utilizing the 2G bandwidth to 205mbps with the 5G. Just amazing. The instructions are not very clear so expect a little difficulty with the download. Very much worth the money. Great Product !
