The game worked twice, but suddenly stopped loading. The game itself is great! But the fact that it only worked twice and has been put back in its case and not damaged, yet stopped loading, causes me to give it a neg review. Amazon will not replace or refund because the time limit expired, so we have had to contact the manufacturer. I will update this post based on what they decide to do. I'm asking for a replacement and am happy to return this one so they can test it or whatever to determine why it has an issue. |
This is my first FIFA game in years, although I have kept up with the series - mostly through streams/Twitch, so I am familiar somewhat with what it has offered recently. I must say that it's an absolute joy to play on Switch. It runs really well and gameplay feels tight and responsive. Obviously not as flashy as PS4/XBO, but when I'm in the action, it's not even noticeable and it's crazy to think this game is running on a handheld. Then it's 1080p while docked too so you're covered regardless of what setup you're playing it in. Only reason for 4/5 is that at this moment there's no way to directly play with a friend online. But I've read that it's coming in a future patch. |
I get to play an amazing soccer game anywhere I want. The gameplay is butter smooth. FUT is a blast. I only play my Switch in portable mode since my kiddos usually have the TV tied up during my gameplay time. Pass on this of you have a Xbone or PS4 and only play in the TV. If, however, you play away from the TV, FIFA Switch is a gem. |
It's great. It's FIFA 18 on the switch. It runs perfectly, and plays just like the other versions (for the most part). The graphics are very inferior to the other versions. VERY INFERIOR. that's why i docked off a star. I can forgive the lack of Journey, but the graphics are just bad. Also, there are some gameplay experiences that are gone. You can no longer walk on the sideline before a throw in, and using the joycons makes shooting less accurate (which can be fixed with a pro controller) Overall, It's FIFA, but it's just not the FIFA experience. I am positive that next years game will look and be one hundred percent better. They did not have as much time to develop the switch version. |
This is my first FIFA game I have played, I am really enjoying my time with it and find there is lots to do. The game plays great on the big screen and in portable mode. Great for a late night match before bed or a challenging cup game on the big screen. I have not tested multiplayer or online play but am already addicted. |
So far very impressed. The last fifa game I had was like fifa 14 on 360 and it looks a lot better than that and that's good enough for me. The game handles pretty good so far. Hopefully if this is a success it means that other sports games like nhl and madden will follow suit and get a switch version. Especially nhl! |
