Of the Simpsons-related videogames that I have played, this one ranks as the most fun. It's a 3D platform game that makes fun of both the Simpsons and videogames (with Comic Book Guy pointing out various cliches), as you not only guide a pair of Simpsons characters through various types of levels which include being inside the world of videogames, but you also get to play in the style of other types of videogames, like the Dance Dance Revolution boss battle with God. It's not entirely perfect, as the camera will get really crazy in spots where you'll try to get the best angle view of the action. But overall, it retains the style of humor that's found in the cartoon show with the entire cast doing the actual character voices. The game obviously looks better on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, which has additional elements that you won't find on the Wii and Playstation 2 versions, though the Wii version has its own special features that use the Wii Remote. But even without the added horsepower of those systems' graphic engines, the game still makes you feel like you're in a living version of Springfield, and the characters are all very well animated. I say this one's a keeper and a classic.
"The Simpsons" for the Wii is, in general, a good game. Clever plots, nice animation and great voice work. Unfortunately, controlling the players is a lot harder than it needs to be. It seems as if absolutely perfect coordination and timing, plus a little bit of luck and being in exactly the right place at the right time, is necessary to be able to advance further in the game. Practice certainly makes perfect, but it does get frustrating when you're just half a second off and all your work ends up being ruined.
Great product. Was in perfect cosmetic and working order. LOVE the game!
This game is so much fun and a great way to play along with your favorite family from Springfield! The game arrived quickly and we really have enjoyed playing it on the Wii.
It's hard to play for kids, which was the point of getting this game. It's fun and sometimes it does get stuck, there's no way of knowing where to go next in the game. It's fun til it gets stuck. Then we typically turn it off and don't play it for months.
The first time I bought this game it was for the Xbox360 and it was so freaking fun but I have to say the quality and controls on the Wii version is total crap.. Do not purchase this game for the Wii..
I found this game to be quite a let down. I had expected an open wold Simpsons game, it wasn't what I got. The camera movement and controls were hard to use. The saving grace for this game does have to be the animated cut scenes and the humor. None the less this game was a pain to play!
if you're a fan, get it. u'll love the voices and extra animation bits. classic simpsons jokes.
Very cool game. Hesitated to buy used, but was in great condition and works just fine.
fast and just as described
