One day I was looking for a good game to buy and both amazon and a friend recommended BlazBlue to me, and I never want to put it down. BlazBlue is a game full of fun times, from the cool characters, awesome soundtrack, and funny banter, the only thing people may not like is the controls, but they are simple after some practice. Anyone that loves fighting games, funny lines, and lots of electric guitar should shell out the cash for this game.
This game has a variety of characters that it is almost impossible not to have a favorite. The gameplay is entirely different from Calamity Trigger but in a good way. Even though it's a little tougher to activate the Astral Heats the game is fun to play.
If you played the first one on the psp you can see the similaritys. I've put aside all my other games to play this one. The story is massive a bunch of new characters, storyline is funny yet serious at times. Online adhoc feature is awsome yet there aren't as many people yet. The music without going into detail will make you handbang yourself into a headace (that means its very good) combat is way better then streetfighter and marvel vs capcom, so much unlockable content, a new level system along with the shop and if you can earn it (level up enough & eventually buy) you can get character's unlimited form, which is awsome. Putting aside the greatness, if your expecting this version to have the cheap combo helping control stick, well now you have to string your combo's yourself, witch isn't all that bad, for people getting their butt kicked witch happens to me from time to time (especially when fighting Hazama) you can change the difficulty in the options mode. If your not good at inputing combos at all, well you can switch from technical (everything normal) to stylish (confusing to me) witch has a completly different control scheme allowing the player to chain combos together really easily at the loss of not being able to do simple things. I haven't been able to really try out the story because I'm too addicted with playing arcade mode. I was suprised and kind of worried that this game that was ported to the 3ds might be a watered down version of the first, this is not true it is a true sequel, with so much in it. So please do yourself a favor and buy this epic game before others discover it's greatness, and you are left being the noob who started late.
The control scheme took some getting used to because im used to using the analog stick and not the d-pad for moving, but once i got used to it the game became very entertaining.
This game is awesome I played Blazblue Continuum Shift on the Xbox 360 and it has the same features on the psp version I love this game
