The game crashes CONSTANTLY. When the game works (which is intermittently) its a lot of fun, with a lot of good added content compared to the first. The load times are terrible though,, so when you get a crash you will be sitting on your hands for ten minutes before you are playing again. You can improve this by turning off the auto-save feature. For some reason this reduces crashes.

DO NOT TRY TO PLAY IRONMAN. The game also has a nasty habit of deleting saves, and on Ironman you only have one of those. You're SOL when its gone. Or you wind up stuck with a recurring crashing bug, and have to reload back several missions to before it cropped up in your game. Can't do that on Ironman.

Whoever shipped this without fixing the massive amount of crashing bugs really deserves to be fired...out of a cannon into the sun. I truly pity anyone who paid more than $20 for this.

I love turn based strategy in general, but I was new to the X-COM series, and I did not know what to expect. I am really happy I decided to try this game! First, this collection comes with two discs that include both games and the add-ons. There are no "redeemable codes" for digital content (which I hate, as they can only be redeemed once in one account).

At the time of this review I have completed the X-COM2 base game, and I loved every second of it. The strategy of the game is deep, and the customization of characters is enough to make me feel that my squad was truly unique. The resource/base management outside of combat is interesting enough to keep me engaged, without being complicated to distract me from the core of the game (the skirmish style battles). I felt that the game always gave me enough things to do to keep me busy, even too much at times, and I ended spending 25+ hours to finish my first playthrough without even realizing it.

I have not yet played War of the Chosen. For those not familiar, is not really an extension of the game, but more of a revamp. It tells the same story in a different way, and add new units and mechanics that are enough to make it feel like a different game.

The most definitive version of XCOM 2 available on Xbox. If Mario + Rabbids on the Switch is too simple and boring for you, this game is for you. The problem with the Xbox One version is low frame rate and occasional crashes, forcing a restart of the game. So save often. I was able to complete the game despite the crashes, however. If you have a PC, I would recommend getting the game on PC instead.

I can't recommend this game enough! I've spent countless hours on it, and I haven't even started War of Chosen yet. If u like turn based strategy games, this is the game for u! Playing Mutant Year Zero gave me the itch to play more turn based strategy games, and this delivers in spades. Way more complex than it might first seem. Only 2 negatives, it would definitely glitch sometimes and I would have to restart, but the forgiving auto save features kept it from destroying my experience because I would just restart like basically right where I was. The other negative is that the beginning of the game can be very hard until u start really upgrading ur characters. I died a lot. But once ur characters get better, its gets easier. I also had this those 2 negatives with Mutant Year zero btw. So maybe its just a Turn based strategy thing? But anyway, I recommend

Its an amazing game and worth your money but even years after release, this thing is a buggy mess. There are countless sound and graphical issues and worse, the longer you play the game, the more likely it will crash.

Thankfully, a simple releid of the last save file brings you one turn behind but back to where you were, but it does happen so often I've left the game for days out of frustration.

Bought collection because I had originally purchased the WOTC DLC for when Xcom2 was originally released but the DLC kept crashing so much that the game wasn’t even enjoyable to play at all. When I saw that the Xcom2 collection was out I figured that maybe by all of the DLC being on disc instead of electronic download would eleviate all of the game crashing. So far i’m Roughly two weeks back in on a fresh start and it has crashed but nothing like the crashes experienced with the Digital download. Oh yeah, I completely uninstalled the previous installed game and started fresh from the disk.

Tactical turn based game with all the bells and whistles...check. Crazy alien menace colliding with your fragile troops to defend humanity at it's last...check. The game is amazing and the only issues I've seen some people (myself included at times) have is that for some reason the game itself sometimes needs to be started with no profile select on Xbox or it freezes in the start screen. Since this is an Xbox issues and not an X-COM issues I will recommend this game until I run out of breath to do so.

Downloaded everything the way I was post to. But something was up with the disc cuz when I went to play it, it would frezz every time I hit the a botton to start the game at the maid game screen. Getting my money back .

This definitive edition of Xcom 2, which in msny peoples opinion one of the best games ever made, represents awesome value for money, as it comes with all the content released post launch, which in itself costs more than the price of this definitive edition (at time of writing at least), including the main game, the excellent War of the Chosen Content, (which makes an already excellent game significantly better), Shens gift, Alien Hunters and the exta costume/clothes items packs.

Even if you have played through the game, if you haven't played through it with the War of the Chosen content activated, you really ought to do so, as it adds a whole lot more to the game.. it basically turns Xcom 2 into Xcom 2.5.

I was worried about this being an import from America but has installed without issue - some people may have complained about the install as you have to use the Play disc to trigger the install, not the Data one.

Game works fine, love verything XCOM and have already played through XCOM2, so looking forward to sinking my teeth into these DLCs ;D

Arrived sooner than expected and was very good value for money - very happy with purchase!

Great game, not an initially easy one but very rewarding and has a lot of replayability

Works great
