Two simple modifications would result in my awarding two more stars! First of all, in spite of the fact that I'm a "belt and suspenders" guy, the Velcro is unnecessary. The strap is sufficient. As far as the strap goes, it the male and female clips were reversed with the male on the top flap, it would be a lot easier to close with one hand. As it is, it's unnecessarily difficult. Aside from these somewhat minor criticisms, it fits my Samsung Note 9 (with case) perfectly.
This is probably a good case for hicking, or sports, not so good for simple, daily use.
It's big and bulky but I knew that when purchasing it. Other than that the holster works as it's supposed too, if you don't mind the size I would recommend this holster. PS it's a rugged look & it can fit your phone with a case in it. I'm only giving it for straws because of how big and bulky it is.
This thing is BIG! It seems to be very durable and that's what my husband needs. He's always breaking the clips on these types of holsters, so having the ability to put his belt through the loops is great. It definitely fits the Note 8 with a case! I like that it can be tightened to fit more snug or loosened to accommodate a bigger case. We haven't had it long, so if anything changes I'll do an update, but so far it's working out great.
I do not fault the seller for anything in the ad, nor in the product. However when I sat down at home, the unit came off my belt because it does not pivot. I liked the idea of the clasp backed up by the magnet. It seemed a good way to secure my new EXPENSIVE phone.
This is very similar to the case I used for my Samsung Galaxy S9+. Problem with that case is that it was too small to fit my Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra.
I travel around the country weekly for my company. Most of my trips are 24- 48 hours so all I usually carry is a heavy-duty backpack for my laptop, tools, cables, and a change of clothes. When I switched over to a Galaxy Note 8 for my work phone, I found it to be too large to fit in my travel pack pockets anywhere handy. I tried attaching a couple different holster style cases to the backpack straps but after a few trips being jammed under airplane seats and through security scanners, they would break. With this rugged canvas case attached to my left pack strap through the vertical belt loop, the problem is solved. My phone is easily reachable while on my pack and locked in place no matter what.
you need to remove the flimsy metal clip on the back. So:
Extra bulky holds phone ok can't take off snapvlip as valcro is more then enough
Although the product quality is good but case is very loose might be well fitted with defender case
I like the product but except on the back is super loose solo fall off your belt if you run so I suggest just using the belt loops that has with it never use the clip because you're surely going to lose your phone
