I bought this to replace my years old Time Warner remote, which has been slowly dying a button at a time. Since they charged me $10 to replace my old cable box which malfunctioned & erased all my DVR programs, I hesitated to give them more money because of their failing equipment. It works perfectly with my Scientific Atlanta cable box, & everything is fully functional: the program guide, menu, DVR, page up or down, even the A, B & C buttons. Most of the buttons are in the same place as my current remote, with only a couple of exceptions, easing the transition to this remote. It was easy to program, taking only a few short seconds. By the way, as I write this review, I noticed that the main price shown is $30, which is double what I pain & is way too much. I recommend looking to other sellers listed for a better price. This remote also works for my RCA TV, to turn it off or on & adjusting the volume.

Well, after almost 2 years I figure I could write a review.

Shipment was fast, packaging was great, hook up to the DVR box was easy and everything worked.

After just under 2 years, the page up button is starting to get touchy as is the "Last" button. When either button stops working all together I will be buying another.

Update: I bought another remote to replace one that my dog thought was a chew toy. The shipment was super fast (3 days from CA to MI), very easy to connect it to my TV and cable box (less than 2 minutes total) and at the price, you can't beat it.

Bought this for my Charter cable box (the one manufactured by Arris) and it did not work. there's no way to program it to the cable box if it doesn't just work out of the box. I tried to return it, but they wouldn't pay for return shipping and the return postage would have cost just as much as what I paid for the remote, so I just threw it in the trash.

Later found out that Charter will just give you as many remotes as you want for free so I don't know why anyone would ever buy this online.

I just finished reconfiguring my cable to try to recover from Charters new all digital dis-service. I purchased two of these remotes along with two Next Generation Remote Control Extenders ( one at 418mhz and one at 433mhz). These remotes work exactly like the units Charter supplies with their boxes. I had no problem programming them to work with the TVs I own and
the "battery transmitter" that comes with the remote extenders fit well and works nicely with this remote.

Item is exactly as described. 1. The seller shipped my order within 2 hrs and it came in 2 days. Thank you for the fast service. 2. I ordered 2 of these and had them both set up to my cable boxes and tv’s in about 5 mins. If it don’t work out of the pack which mine did not setup is a breeze. I have the charter arris converter box if that helps anyone looking at this remote. I would buy again if I need another.

Arrived very quickly and was as listed. However one of the provided batteries had a small amount of corrosion at the positive end so endued up using my own batteries to avoid any issues.

Set up was a breeze and took me barely 5 minutes to get my cable box and television programmed and running.

The System On/Off button does stick a lot so many times I have to press it twice to turn both devices off at the same time.

I would buy it again if I ever needed another in kind remote.

Haven't figured out how to get the TV sound to adjust with it, but I'm sure there's a way. This is an exact replica of the one that came from charter. On the original, the channel guide and last channel buttons had decided to retire. What did I pay for this, 12 bucks? Charter probably would have charged twice or three times that.

The remote that came with my cable box is old. Many of the buttons don't work properly and I really didn't want to deal with Time Warner Cable customer service. It's the worst. I tried other universal remotes with no luck. They would only turn on/off my cable box with no other functions. This remote controls everything. Very happy with it and would suggest it to anyone who needs a new remote.
