The 808 Canz 2 wireless Bluetooth speaker delivers big sound in a little package, providing the punchiest sound around via Bluetooth wireless or a line-in connection. Canz 2 speakers feature a rechargeable lithium polymer battery providing 9 hours of playtime at normal volume from a single charge.
Two years ago I bought an 808 Thump speaker. It was awesome...great sound, compact size, easy to use...and it was only $18 from Walmart. I damaged the charging port, so I bought this 808 Canz as a replacement. (As far as I can tell they don't make the Thump anymore.) This is the closest thing....it's about 1/2" taller than the Thump. The price I paid was $28 (inflation?). It sounds great like the other one. Only difference is the polished surface is very slippery...hold onto it tightly. I already dropped it twice...still works!
I have purchased 2 of these. The first one was the original 808 Canz, this is a 2nd gen. At first, they both worked fine and I loved them. Now, the 2nd one has become distorted sounding in a very short time, I've only had it a couple weeks at this point. I only use it to play laptop sound from movies or YouTube videos, I don't know why they would both break. Very disappointed. I'll have to find something else sturdier.
I bought this as a Christmas present after getting one as a present some years ago. I use it in my shop, but it can go anywhere it can pair with a phone. It's smaller than a soup can but produces surprisingly good sound - including more bass than seems possible. It's no match for real speakers, but it has its place as a travel speaker and all around work area speaker and that makes it highly recommended. It's inexpensive too.
I know that this speaker is dynamite, however I'm having trouble getting I hooked up. I need clearer directions, so if anyone has an idea of how to get this done I would so appreciate some help.
I was kind of surprised to open up the shipping box to find this much smaller 808. I had an 808 2 years ago, but during a move, it vaporized. Looking for its replacement, Ordered the 808 Canz 2, thinking it was the same thing. What a surprise! About half the size and sorry to say, but about half the volume, and sound quality. And the BASS? Just doesn't bump like the original. So I found the original on Amazon, checked out the product details, and found the manufacturer discontinued this model. I am thinking about ordering it before it is not available anymore. Its a couple bucks more, but I will get a better bluetooth speaker. The 808 canz 2 is going back.
I like the sound. The rotund design is ok for most stationary uses but a flat design would make it easier to carry or stick on a horizontal surface or wall. I would have liked a volume control on the 808. The only thing was maybe my fault, I dropped it while it was plugged in charging and the inside connector came out with the charging cord. I could not recharge again so I ordered another one when the battery finally ran down
Perfect for my teenage son. He loves it. Good quality and sounds great.
I ordered this. It didn't work. Exchanged it for another one. It didn't work. Got a refund. Won't buy this product again.
