Pebblebee is a hardware engineering company making customized beacon tracking solutions. The Pebblebee idea first emerged in late 2012 as a necessary solution to a curious toddler’s endless ability to hide things. After failed attempts at other homemade solutions, Nick collaborated with Daniel Daoura to find a way to take back control. That meeting resulted in a vision: to create the most versatile, affordable Bluetooth Tracker and Sensor. We are passionate about creating innovative solutions to everyday problems and strive to provide a superior customer service experience. Describe your product in 3 words.
Premium item finder
How did you come up with the idea for this product?
After toddlers kept hiding keys, remotes, and anything they could get their hands on, we developed a Bluetooth tracker to find misplaced items. Years later, we’re continuing to build on it by both simplifying the app and making the device itself sleeker and smaller.
What makes your product special?
The new Finder builds on previous trackers to offer a beautiful stainless steel, functional device you’ll be proud to display on your key ring. Unlike other trackers, it works without the app running, at longer distances, and has a replaceable battery that lasts up to one year.
What has been the best part of your startup experience?
The process of taking an initial idea, collaborating with a team, and going through several iterations to then deliver a product that people love and use everyday is one of the most rewarding parts of a startup.
I was initially comparing this and the Tile and, being someone that loves underdogs and hates planned obsolescence, I decided to get a pebble. I truly wanted to like this product but it's failed me 3 out of the 4 times that I've really needed it to work. One can use this in reverse to find your phone (one of the sides is a button that will ring your Android phone) and THAT was the single time that it actually functioned like it should. However, you can use the android interface online to do that same thing. So I will probably end up getting a Tile instead since I always misplace my keys. I need something with reliability and this isn't it.
This finder is useless. This device has done nothing but fail, or make things worst (see first complaint)!
