The internal engineering design solves the problem of the Conflict between USB 3.0 and Wifi 2.4GHz signal. Some USB 3.0 devices stop working because of the Conflict, which won't happen on this adapter.
If you have any need to transfer information back-and-forth between any 2 devices that have different transfer ports (particularly USB to USB-C), this is an essential gadget. On my Galaxy S10+ I have the "File Commander" app for managing my on-phone data and upon plugging this gadget into my phone (with a USB Thumb-drive attached at the other port) it immediately queried me for how I wanted to handle the data on the USB Thumb-drive. Awesome, and just what I expected! If you don't have File Commander and use the native file manager app on your phone, you will have to look for the USB drive you added via the USB-C port on your device. All-in-all, a very handy, if not essential gadget, for the money!
I bought these and then didn't have a real use for them until I bought a Sandisk drive (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01EZ0X3L8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1) that was supposed to plug into the USB-C port on my phone. I couldn't get the Sandisk to make contact and be recognized, it was way too loose. I plugged the USB end into this little baby and Voila it worked like a charm. Thank god I didn't have to return the drive. PITA.
I’m in the in the ward person in the digital world. I did not even know that USB-C existed. So I have brought some cords with of course the wrong ends and did not want to send them back. Once you get here is one male and female for each type of conversion they seem to be excellent quality and when used they’re great. However I would not use the USB see charger on the USB seaport because there is a higher wattage you would have to know more about what you’re doing to do that but I don’t think it’s probably a good idea overall this is great. Another great thing
Plug it into USB-C jack, and USB-A male ends plug right in. What can I say? These work both for memory sticks and for charging iPhones and other devices. The only note of caution: these do not fit completely flush with the jack - - there is a very small gap, but you do NOT need to push any harder once the contact is firm. This has not affected performance in any way, and the jack remains solidly in place, so don't sweat the gap . . . it is a non-issue unless you decide to try and shove it in further, in which case you might do damage to your USB-C device. Sturdy, well-made inexpensive and effective solution.
This is the second set of USB to USB-C Adapters I’ve purchased from this seller, as I like to have them readily available in my various travel kits and home office.
The product is sleek and small. After all it doesn’t have to do much but connect 2 usb devices and they don’t waste any space doing it. However, even though my device (a WD USB 3.1 hard drive) should be able to connect to the USB-C 3.1 rated port I am connect to using this connector I am constantly getting BSOD errors in windows 10 when I use this adapter. I can’t say why. The device requires no driver and the drive itself works flawlessly in other USB-A 3.1 and 3.0 jacks on the computer. It’s just when I connect with this adapter to the one USB-C jack that I get the failures. All I can think of is that there is something wrong with the connector. Unfortunately I waited too long to use it regularly to ask for a refund or replacement. But if it works for you it was an inexpensive solution with a solid connection in both sides and a sleek look and feel.
My external HDD plugged into the USB-C port of my HP/Windows laptop, thanks to this adapter for it's naturally USB-A cable, it seems to transfer files in less time now. It was affordable, its worked, reliably at that, and the material is a decent quality, effectively metallic. It's nice having 2, so 1 can remain attached to a device, and the other can be a spare, or for other devices. Very simple and neat.
I wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised when I removed these from the pack. They have some weight(not heavy) to them and they feel like they're pretty heavy duty. I'm only using one and I've only had it for about a week now, but so far so good. Since the my 2018 Macbook has atrocious bluetooth connection this allows me to easily bring my mouse's bluetooth adapter with me when I work at a cafe.
