I bought four of these white cameras from this seller and 8 black cameras from another seller. The white cameras are actually model number LNB8963B which clearly shows up on any config tool and my DVR. The black ones are actually the LNB8973B. And the two different cameras have a different firmware version. I am having problems with the white ones constantly losing connection to the network host no matter what I have tried so far whereas the black ones have not lost connection even once. And I have all twelve hooked up to a rebranded Dahua DVR and they are working fine. So the statement that they will only work with a Lorex DVR/NVR is not correct. They show up as Dahua brand cameras when configuring them. Of course I have to lower the camera resolution to 1080p instead of 4K mainly because my monitors are not 4K. |
The intial set up packages of lorex cameras and recording devices should of been offered with the same amount of cameras as Ethernet ports. I may of had a chance to save a few dollars with the 8port system. Instead the sale package came with 6 lorex cameras and I had to purchase 2 more cameras separately. There not not cheap; but the do work very well I do admit. Spent $1600.00 on the 8port system and 8 cameras. The night vision 250ft works better with additional lighting around your facility but the cameras do pretty good in the dark by themselves. Takes only 1 week of recording before the starts recording over the previos week. Liked to have more recording space for 8 cameras. The cameras operate on an ethernet connection and they were a little work to install them. Do what you can in trying to hide as much wire as you can on the out side of your home or business. The cameras zoom in an out and they present a clear view on the tv screen. There being tested thru the heat right now and we'll see if the cold may change on how they operate. From my evaluation lorex systems were my best choice of all the camera systems I reviewed. Thanks lorex and if there's any trouble with warranty we'll let you know. But for now; we'll just have to see how well the cameras system keeps working. Everything works great right now. Its amazing on how much activity you see going on outside your facility with these cameras. |
Crystal Clear added 2 more camera from my package I bought from Lorex website . During these times we live in it’s a must have item for your home and family . |
At first night vision kept flickering to color night mode first night. Blur occured in motion for the first fiew days. Insure why after calibrating a few times. Not true 8MP as my phone had better zoom quality. Price was of course pricey but compared to other makers with similar specs (hikvision), This one was the better one. For true 60fps at higher rates, you will need to pay for the most expensive cam. |
I added this to my Lorex NVR. |
Bigger than anticipated. Probably close to 6" in length. Very clear and defined picture. Zoom works well. Easy to install and connected to my system effortlessly. |
Camera is mounted 20 feet up and the end of the driveway is 210 feet long. I have no idea what some people expect from a 200 camera. They are excellent |
Great 4K POE camera - bought to use in my LOREX 4K NVR quality camera, very well made. |
