but has Spherical Aberration notable with Night time Astronomy OK, that is a non standard use of a Surveillance lens, and especially for a lens I paid $15 for. I mounted this on a camera with type 1/3 sensor, and did find the DC iris to be very quick the lens does focus using a small ring on the back of the camera. If you're looking for a lens that will provide decent facial recognition in a clearly delineated area (IE entrance way) you'll be fine. Just be aware of the width you want in focus.
