This Video Transceiver with Power is a passive (non-amplified) device that allows the transmission of real-time monochrome or color video over Unshielded Twisted-Pair(UTP)telephone wire. Baseband (composite) signals of any type are supported. This video transceiver allows transmission of CCTV video and low voltage power over UTP cable.Power and Video are routed via UTP and RJ45 connections.
Its unparalleled interference rejection and low emissions allows video signals to co-exist in the same wire bundle as telephone, datacom, or low-voltage power circuits. This allows the use of a shared or existing cable plant.

they were terrible, best review I could offer is that they came quickly and was on time. After that, I couldn't return them fast enough. all 10 of them failed to work. what are the odds that 10 for 10 sucked, that's like going to a liberal arts school and thinking that art degree will make corporate America money? watch out for all that flash and no actual talent.
IT TAKES 2 TO MAKE 1 WOULDN'T BUY AGAIN STAY AWAY FROM THIS BRAND........
Works as described.
Updated my system to cat6 Ethernet.. way overkill but completely satisfied.. video is so much better with no to little interference.. extremely satisfied
The product really delivers, and no loss of video quality on 5mp cameras. Very happy with this product!
It worked but less than a week later one went out for no apparent reason. Luckily I only needed 4 pairs form the 10 sent. All in all good deal for the money.
Using standard T-568B (or T-568A) wiring/pinout, the baluns work just fine. They may even provide a better image than miniature siamese co-ax cables, but it's hard to tell with these old cameras. Best part is CAT-5 requires much smaller holes to pull the cable through.
Using HD CVI cameras, I find it much easier to run CAT5 than coax. It also allows the installation without a separate power supply. Highly recommend this item.
Easy to install
