I Purchased this to be my spotting scope tripod for the range . After having 2 other $20 ones that didn't have the quality or flexibility of this one, so far I am very happy with this pod! Adjustments are made easy with its ballhead. When Laying prone you're able to have the right height adjustment making it easy to transition from riflescope to spot scope. Seems very well made. Solid aluminum for the most part. I am a photographer and own a few high dollar full size tripods and this little guy out of the box seems to fit the bill. Very happy with purchase as of now... Happy shooting

Out of the box this tripod seemed like a decent buy for the price. My expectations were low, apparently not low enough thought. Upon releasing the camera from the tripod after my initial test the springs from the swiss-arca mount dropped out. Up until that point I thought the tripod was a keeper (did what I needed it to do) but after that, it was going back. Then while folding the tripod to storage position the bubble level fell out. I couldn't get to my computer to get my return shipping label fast enough after that happened.

My understanding is that multiple "brand" labels are slapped on this unit. So if you see a 2nd or 3rd tier brand that looks like this one and priced similarly, take caution. After I returned this one I bought a MeFoto Backpacker S for $89. More expensive (though still cheap for a tripod) but a better value for sure.

Using a mirrorless camera, this is great. I have a full size heavy duty tripod for my full frame DSLR... I wouldn't use this for that camera and my 70-200 for example. However, with my mirrorless and all the prime lenses on the mirrorless, this is perfect. I own a gorillapod, ultrapod, and host of other small portable tripods, and they are just not durable enough or require too much fiddling to get composition right. This tripod is a little heavier but a legit ballhead, and the extra weight helps stabilize for landscapes and macros.

I shoot real estate photography and wanted an extra tripod for difficult shots. Sometimes the best place for a shot I need is on a table or counter. With the Arca Swiss mount ball head, I can quickly take my camera off of my main tripod and mount it on this for those special place or angle shots.

Second, having just tried a 360 camera, I found that, with the 1/4" mount for the ball head, I can take off the ball head and quickly mount the selfie stick for the 360 and use this handy little tripod as my base for the new 360s I'm doing.

If you need a little tripod for these kinds of things, I highly recommend this one. Quality material, great ball head and it does all I need. (Plus, it's actually a good looking little thing!!)

This is by far the best mini-Tripod I have come across in decades. High quality alloy metal, excellent machining and fitment, and a very good solid snug ball head that takes standard Arca Swiss quick release plates ( which is the prime reason I bought this ). Functionality is great... legs can go all the way horizontal so the tripod can sit flat on the ground with the camera just 7 inches off the deck, but legs extend to about 20 inches height , with plenty of angle stops . Built in bubble level. Nice rubber grips and feet. All sweeter considering the total cost with shipping was less than $ 50 US.
Highly recommended.

Beautiful to look at, satin black and gold anodized trim. Machined very well. A genuinely precision made item. Legs extend smoothly, head can be securely locked into any desired position. Had to buy a larger tabletop tripod to properly hold my big heavy Nikon camera, and now my new fairly large Sony digicam (FDR AX53). Have a very small, portable tripod, but the Big Nikon digital cam would barely stay up, and I found the Sony digicam would topple it, so needed a larger tripod. The only drawback is that this one does not fit into the digicam case, and is awkward to carry on overseas trips. Great around the home or throw in the car. If the size is appropriate for your purpose, and you appreciate quality, buy this one.

One of the little friction feet on the end that you use to unlock, and lock the legs, came off... The rest of the tripod seems very solid... I have another one just like it with another brand name, but for the most part, it's pretty much the same product, and that one is still holding up.

This little tripod is very well made and useful for heavier DSLR cameras. It is very compact. It is important to remember that it only stands 24" tall and does not replace a full size tripod. But it is fine if you set on a table or chair or big rock.

Lots of great features, its very smooth for panning. I mean incredibly smooth. Its got a decent heft to it. The foam on all 3 legs is a nice touch. Only non metal parts on it are the leg extension locks, I showed this little tripod to a photography Veteran with loads of high end gear, he was also impressed by the quality of a no name company. Well done.

I have acquired many tripods over my life time & this little gem has to be one of the better devices to travel with. Solid, sturdy construction. Multiple positioning is possible; lots of well thought out ideas. Well executed for such a small tripod.

I thought it was a full-size tripod but when it arrived it was just about two feet tall. Nonetheless, the build quality is great! It even comes with two Allen wrenches and a bag. It has a bubble level, ball head and some measuring device when you rotate the head. Very portable.

Purpose is to shoot tabletop photos and to bring it in luggages for easy traveling.
The unit is well built, very strong. I really liked it. Until I wanted to extend the legs. 2 of the 3 legs would not fully extend, and the locking mechanism is not intuitive nor efficient.
I returned it, and ordered the SL-166 instead.

Assez stable pour supporter un petit flash de studio avec softbox. Très compact et léger. Fait en partie de plastique, et de métal. Très bon produit pour le prix!

Solid tripod for the price (Ball head is really good). Just make sure you take the **Wrench** that comes with the tripod as the screws tend to get loose. I was constantly using it for almost 10days during my field trip before one of the screws got loose and fell off. Very compact and fit in your backpack. Little on heavy side but it provide solid base for your DSLR.

Less than a year and one of the legs is stuck. The latch will not move anymore

Were well constructed, mostly metal, the knobs are made of high quality plastic. Overall a very solid table tripod!

Pleasantly surprised by this. Smooth roaring head with degree marks. Dual bubble levels. Metal 3 position leg stops. Compact. Feels solid and well built.

Love it.

Great little unit. Packs around great very firm body confident that it will stand firm under any condition

Solid build, durable, but hard to unfold the legs, limited number of low positions and way to heavy for traveling

Never expected that it's will be so nice.

Best tripod for the buck.
Wise design.

Very stable and well made. Happy with my purchase.
