Tripp lite monitor cables are the only brand i use, no more cheap junk ones from ebay. These work flawless, no monitors flickering etc.. I use these in all sorts of ends. Display port is very common in our corporate environment. We get a nice clear image on all the pcs with these. |

Works great! |
I've been using mine for over two years to connect a Dell Laptop with a Mini Displayport to an IOGear KVM that only accepts HDMI. It has always worked perfectly. |
Allows Macbook Air laptops to drive a 4K Samsung TV up to 1920 x 1080p. Other adapters / cables have only been successful up to 720p, so for me this cable is a godsend! |
The cable that arrived did not look like the one pictured. The part number matched the same cable on the TRIPP LITE website with the identical picture as was on Amazon. Either the company is baiting and switching or Amazon is. There is no choke (funny lump in the cable) on the one I received (see picture). I use it anyway and seems to work fine. If you care about interference in your signal, don't buy this one. |
This cable is great for connecting the my surface pro to my TV. I have been wanting to use my old surface as a media computer for my living room TV and this works great. It has enough length to allow me to put my surface pro in front of my TV. It does also transfer sound to the TV as well which is nice. The sound and video are not distorted or show any kind of lag; however you laptop monitor scale might be a little different if you are just duplicating the screen while the surface screen is on. The reason being that the screen outputs at a significantly higher scale then 1080p so from what I can tell the screen will downgrade to 1080p. The cable is six feet and again this is a good length. The material of the cable can feel a bit cheap however but it is easy to bend and tuck away. The head and neck are pretty sturdy so you do not have to worry about this wearing down. The one unfortunately part is that many laptops are switching out of mini display port and moving to type C so this cable will become pretty obsolete pretty soon. The cable is a good thing for my TV set up and just having a cable that I can use to connect to my monitor for laptop repairs. Overall I recommend having this adapter for your surface and giving your surface a new life if you happen to have old ones lying around or if you have macbook airs these will work as well. |
Very well built and exceptional pricing makes this a must-have, especially if you have an older MacBook that has thunderbolt 2 ports...also called mini-display ports. Perfect operation and a true value at the price offered on Amazon! |
