I’ve worked with a lot of softboxes (Wescott, and many others), and I am very impressed with the MagBox. Some of my thoughts below:

1) Quick to set up
2) Well built and quality material
3) Sturdy
4) Versatile
5) Quality light output

Although it is on the pricey side, I would balance that for the convenience if you’re photographer who carries and sets up a lot of equipment. For me, it was an easy decision.

You do, however, need some additional MagMod accessories to be able to use it. Mainly the MagGrip so you can put your flashes in the MagRing.

Having struggled with flash photography for a while. I borrowed a friend of mine's MagBox and just a few shots later, I was sold. Nice light for portrait photography.
You will need to purchase the MagMod MagGrip to operate this (25 bucks) and a off camera flash trigger kit (if you don't have one) (these vary in price)

I’ve been eye baking the MagBox for a few months now. I want something that’s really easy to work with on location. In the past I’ve used Westcott Rapidbox and other brands. These are great, but the setup was not as seemless. Now that I have the MagBox and the MagRing it’s just amazing how quickly I can get light setup.

I keep the MagRing attached to the MagBox and store it in the bag. I’ve also learned how to connect the MagBox with MagRing attached to the MagShoe. That’s a confusing sentence, but this kit is well designed.

Has been a game changer for my photography business! Very easy to put together!
