I just bought Nikon 70-300/4-5.6G non "VR", although I dearly wish it had "VR". The lens without VR is unforgiving with even the slightest movement at lower shutter speeds. You have to step up your game with this lens. The AF works great with my D7000. Buyers beware......this is a "gray market" lens. It stated this is a new lens....nowhere in the advertisement was there a disclosure this is a "gray market" lens. It strikes me as more than a little misleading.

it fits my Nikon D3200, but I have to manual focus. But for manual focus only the photos are sharp.

Others have rated this lens lower because of the lack of auto focus on some camera bodies and lack of VR. I shoot landscapes at F8 or higher and use a tripod most of the time. For this purpose, I have been very happy with the image quality from this lens. It is sharp and the softness at the 300 end you hear about is hardly noticeable even when viewed at 100%. This is one of Nikon's cheapest lenses on their website and an excellent deal if used for landscapes or still subjects.

The lens was a bit different from what the title but I loved it none the less. It doesn't have an auto focus cause its manual focus. I still do like the lens. It has expanded my photographic abilities. I would recommend it to my friends.

works great and the price was nice as well

Although it wont auto focus on cameras like my D3100. Its just so cheap for the quality. Its sharp and gives nice bokeh.

Overall this lens is a good value. It provides slightly greater zoom than the 55-200mm lens that came with my Nikon camera, but not as much as I had expected. Should be good for taking pictures at my kids sporting events. May need to get a tripod or monopod to get clear shots as there is no vibration reduction. Satisfied so far.

I use this with students for sports. It is economically priced and gives nice closeups for the yearbook!

I brought it for my Nikon d5300. It runs smoothly for 2 - 3 days after a will it starts to stuck sometimes, while setting it focus or zoom..
Very disappointed by this product..
Very bad quality product but it have some weight in it..
No auto focus...
