I was looking for a light that was tall enough to reach over my monitor for zoom/teams/webex video calls (since my webcam sits on the top edge of the monitor I wanted the light near and just behind the camera). This fits the bill. 3000k is on the warm side of spectrum and offers a much better color option than many leds that are pure white- this provides for a flattering and natural face tone. It’s slightly annoying to cycle thru the different color settings but the light remembers the last setting once you find the one you want. Many stands are large- this one fits nicely on desks that are already crowded with monitors, keyboards and laptops, and the adjustable feet allowed me to fit the feet around other things already in place, a big bonus. It is a little wobbly but not excessive. I added a zip tie to secure the light stand to a monitor support but this wasn’t strictly needed. I liked mine so much I bought a second one for my wife right away. Excellent price for a light with stand included. |
this 12 inch right light is great for vlogging, females doing their makeup, great for your iPhone videos, and uses a USB-A connection. The bottom stand is adjustable and the light and stand total weight is less than 1 lb. also comes with a universal cell phone holder that you can attach by screw-in, into the center. it has three power intensities but i have been satisfied with just the first level, so this right light is really bright. the color button is for Kelvin temperature from 3000k to 6000k. produces a good soft light. this ring light is fully adjustable and rotatable because of the rotating clamp. the stand can extend up to 4ft high. great item for your social media needs |
Love this light. We have used it several times for our Hair&Makeup for our Boudior sessions. It really helps our makeup artist when it comes to smooth consistent lighting. The fact that it has 3 different settings on warmth of the light is awesome. Gives us several different options of lighting for different skin tones. |
This ring light is great. It’s so light, compact and easy to use, and it pots out great light for your zoom calls or photo shoots. I’m a photographer, so it’s useful for shoots when I want that “fashiony” ring light look, but I’m also on zoom calls several times a week and there’s nothing easier than using a ring light to give you nice even lighting. One of the things I love most about it is that it’s powered from USB. So I just just plug it into my computer when on zoom, or I can use a portable power bank when on location or shooting in my studio and need to be able to move around. For the price you can’t go wrong either! I’ll be using it periodically and I’ll post an update if I have any problems with it, but so far so good! |
If color accuracy is important to you, make sure you get a light with a color rendering index (CRI) larger than 90. Not surprisingly, most ring lights with a high CRI are larger and pricier. After some research I was very happy to find the Godox LR120. It seems to be the only ring light of this price range with a high CRI. I've been using LR120 for a week now, and it doesn't disappoint. It's bright (for a USB light), lightweight, and sturdy. |
I've been looking for a ring light for a while, and finally decided to give this Godox one a chance due to the price. I have been buying Godox speedlights and strobes for a couples years and always loved their quality. So figured the ring light would be up to par. The thing I like most about this is that the cable uses a USB connection vs a normal Edison plug. To me this gives so much more versatility in when I can use this. As well, who doesn't have a wall wart with them or near them to charge their phone. |
This is absolutely a great ring light for its price range. |
Thanks to the pandemic, I've found myself doing more and more video (Zoom) calls than ever before. Being a professional wedding photographer, poor lighting does my head in. So whilst I'm sure most don't care. I wanted a decent looking set up in my study. |
I use this mainly as a portable light source with my 2A USB power bank. The 12 inches size is just right for portability as it is very light and compact. It is mainly for filming in close range, you may need a bigger size light if filming further away. There are 6 levels of colour range from cool to warm which is useful for the advanced users. The stand is for tabletop only for podcasting yourself. If you want to use it as a floor light you will need a standard photography light stand. |
I needed a ring light for filming audition videos and I am super impressed with this light! It arrived very quickly, it was easy to assemble and it's really nice quality. The different light color options are one of my favorite features and I like that you can also adjust the brightness of each color. I was also happy to have 2 different phone/ camera mounting options; one on the stand and one in the center of the light. I like the base of the tripod being flat, and it is very sturdy. I look forward to filming my videos with this light! |
I bought this for working at home, so that I don’t look ghostly on evening calls. My webcam is pretty good at low light, but my overhead lights are no good for webconferences. This has a nice sturdy stand which sits nicely behind my monitor, and several mobile phone stands. I bought an inch long 1/4 thread grub screw so I can mount my Logitech C920 webcam to the light, which works well. |
Excellent value led ring light. I’m a photographer and videographer, and am using this for a low cost and easy to use overhead light for product shots. It’s easy to power from a usb source, and you can choose colour temperature. Although Im not using it, it comes with a handy phone holder for using the light as a selfie light. Highly recommended from a top brand. |
