Got this lens the other day. No thanks to Fed-Up who just barely made it to where I get my mail before they closed. Shot with it the next day and I'm very impressed. Using this with my D810's. Auto focus is fast and the sharpness is unbelievable. Tested the lens at all the focal lengths and f/stops as well. The sweet spot is definitely f/11. After reviewing my shots I didn't see any problems even at the edges of the image. Glad I bought this and not the overpriced Nikon 80-400 that's $2300.00. |
This lens is amazing for the price. I use a Nikon D5200 and can get amazing detailed pictures with this. It is a bit on the heavy side, so be sure to have a sturdy tripod. I have not had a lot of issues with zoom or focus, but plan to get the docking station in order to get updates and adjust anything that I think might need tweaking later on down the road. |
I just received this lens today and I have only had a chance to take a few test shots, indoors and in low light. If the shots I took are an indication of things to come, then, I am totaly in love. The images I got were sharp, even though they were handheld at 1/60th sec. The lens is heavy and better suited to use with a sturdy tripod, but is suprisingly easy to use handheld. I will update when I have had sufficent time to put it through the test, but, as of now, I am pretty sure this is a winner! |
This lens is incredible! My first shoot using this lens was shooting across Puget Sound at a trawler about a mile offshore. I posted the photo on Facebook and have had about a dozen requests for enlargements. |
This is my first 600mm and or Sigma lens and at first i did not like this lens, i discovered my mistake and corrected it, two many filters. I shoot with a Nikon D3400. This Sigma 150-600 lens is heavy and you will need that shoulder strap and if you must a try pod pod, it is now my go to lens for free hand on the move (and yes it can be done) wildlife photos. |
I just received my refurbished lens and I just love it. I was amazed at the quality of the photos I have take so far and I look forward to taking some really good bird photos with it this season. While it weighs about 6 lbs. this lens can be used as a handheld lens with excellent results because of the lens stabilization feature. The price and quality were outstanding. |
Takes great crisp clear photos. See the attached photo as an example. |
Unexpectedly good lenses. I use it on Nikon D750 - fast, precise focus, good color and sharpness. |
