High quality optics and long-distance ranging capability come to together in our Fury HD 10x42 Laser Rangefinding Binocular. Convenience, speed, efficiency, and valuable dual-purpose functionality - all the advantages of a high-definition binocular perfectly paired with an angle compensated rangefinder. Right side controls are simple to use and easily manipulated with a single hand - leaving your other hand open to hold your bow, rifle, or other important piece of equipment.
I took these on an elk hunt and was sorely disappointed. The image is clear and bright but suffers from a green tint which is more pronounced in the right barrel. On cold mornings (below freezing) there was “flair” around the lit reticle. And the straw that broke my camel’s back was having to re-adjust the diopter and reticle focus each time the binoculars were taken out of the included bino case. I really cannot understand how Vortex equips binos at half this price point with locking diopters and not these. If these were to be used to glass for hours at a time in warm weather I feel my issues could go unnoticed. At this point for me the technology has not advanced to the point that is more convenient or functional that individual binoculars and rangefinder.
Just received these, so my review so far is from around my yard and adjacent field. First impression is they are very nice and range quickly. I'm impressed with these after just selling my 2017 Swarovski EL Range 10x42 binoculars. A little background, in January I sold my Vortex Viper HD Binos, Vortex Razor HD spotter, and Zeiss rangefinder. I just started getting my daughter out hunting and wanted binos with a built in rangefinder to simplify knowing the distance of shots she was making. I sold all that, after seeing these, not realizing they had a summer 2017 release date. I still had a hunt to make, and found a great deal on a pair of Swarovski EL range binoculars. I bought those as a temporary pair, since I have no business owning $3k binos, and with the deal I got, I knew I could break even selling them later. So, fast forward to now, Swarovskis are sold, and I bought these. In all honesty, the build quality and feel of these is impressively close to the Swaros The digital read out is very similar, and just as clear. Sure, the bag and neck strap are much nicer on the Swaros. The Swaros are a little brighter and clearer, but these are plenty bright and clear, and I really like them so far. At this point no regrets buying these Vortex Furys.
Great glass, rangefinder works very well, it will range a non reflective target best between 900 and 1000 yards. I have had it range up to 1149 yards on a tree but it took several times ranging and different targets until it ranged non reflective target that far. I am very happy with my purchase!! It is a time saver not having to switch between my range finder and binos.
For the price they just aren’t worth it. Side by side the diamondback HDs are just as clear so your paying $800 more for an integrated range finder which you can get for a few hundred on its own
even at it's brightest setting, I would still like it a bit brighter.
Everything its Ok and on time!
Glass is great, but the range finder isn't the best. Kind of wish I had saved up a bit more and bought the Swaro's.
