Active outdoor lifestyles demand compact, durable and versatile binoculars.
The ZEISS TERRA ED Series delivers razor-sharp images of far-away objects. But it can also observe nature up close with great precision.
Terra ED Pocket 10x25
The ZEISS TERRA ED Pocket offers high optical precision and an extra large field of view.
With its folding design and minimal weight of only 310 g, it's extremely compact.
The Zeiss TERRA ED Pocket 10x Binocular is an extremely powerful yet compact binocular that can be folded into a packable size, perfect for birdwatching, viewing nature, travelling, or sliding into your pocket during events.
Pro: Bright image that is crisp and sharp in low contrast (see cons below). The fit and finish are great. The feel of the chassis coating is nice - a bit like pocket knife G10 material. Comforatable to hold. Both diopter and focus adjustments function smoothly. Hinges seem solid. I wear glasses and eye relief is excellent. The twist caps also operate smoothly.
These are the first binoculars I have ever purchased, so went for a more expensive pair. I am no expert, but I found them hard to use - we took them to Peru to look at wildlife, and it was very difficult to get the 2 lenses to focus at the same time. They are made well, but they don't come with a case, just a tiny fabric bag which we promptly lost. I wouldn't buy them again, I'd get a cheaper pair with a bigger zoom.
Though billed as Zeiss's "lower grade" optic, I own a pair of their highest dollar 10x40 std. size bino's ($1000) and older folding style (on ebay for a ridiculous $200), anyway these Terra ED are fantastic. I carried these one day of my moose hunt and the standard size one day. I really could not tell the difference in the glasses except for the focal plane difference. These 25mm compared just fine to my 40mm.
Very nice optics, actually assembled in Japan. Contrary to some of what I've read, it also comes with a carrying case.
These fit in my pocket but are powerful enough to see the stage at a show or check out what is going on in the park. Perfect size. The case is just a soft pouch which is fine for this size binoculars. Decent strap for them included.
Nice glass. Light weight. Adjustable diopter. Smooth focus knob. Have several pair of diamondback binos and these zeiss have great glass for the price you pay. Also small form factor when storing them away.
These are quite good for the money. I would have preferred to buy a better pair for $200-300 more but could not find a pair that fit the bill
I bought these for a friend. I haven't had any negative feedback so assume they are doing the job.
