Gave this as a Birthday gift. He got all of his stuff in it and picked it up and noticed the front part coming away from the outside metal. |
I bought this case to manage all my binocular eyepieces (I have five pairs) - four of which fit in the circular cutouts, two in the longer cutout, with room to manage a spare eyepiece that didn't fit in my main eyepiece case (ok, I have a lot of Astronomical equipment<g>). It's a fine, inexpensive case for transporting items like that. |
The big let down of this case is that it doesn't fit my X-cel eyepieces or my 32mm omni. The precut holes only fit my Barlow and the two eyepieces that came with my telescope. This forced to use the center slots for eyepiece storage, which isn't ideal. While I still had space for filters I'm going to try and recut the foam to allow for larger eyepieces. If you have larger eyepieces just pay the extra ten dollars and get the large customizable case. |
This one was perfect for me as it holds all 9 eyepieces I have, along with two barlows and I improvised a spot for all my filters. This case comes with the foam pre-cut, but they shipped with the foam cut outs still in those slots. That made it perfect for me as I kept one of the larger spots filled. If I add further equipment I can just remove that particular foam insert and cut to size. I like the sturdy case and now all my eyepieces are in one place. |
I had all my telescope accessories in a bag so I'm glad I found this case. It has helped keep everything not only organized but safe. Only regret not going bigger other than that I love it. |
It's a good case. But don't cheap out and get this one over the larger version if you're serious about building a collection. |
A real nice case and well built. The only reason this was not 5 stars was the layout of the foam insert. I didn't feel it was laid out very well so I purchased replacement foam insert and custom picked out spots to better fit my needs. If your just starting out and need a place for your eyepieces and other gear this will make you a great first case. |
Almost everything is great, the keys are cheap, and the way they lock is the only thing wrong with this product, very dissatisfied with the style of the keys, not authentic at all. Might as well not use it. The case is great. The lock and keys are poor in quality. |
